5'x10'x1-3/8" Dollamur FLEXI-Roll® Carpeted Cheer/Gymnastics Mat

This mat came a week earlier than expected! It was rolled up in a box and came with a strap to hold it together if you roll it up and have it standing on the side. We bought this so my daughter could practice her tumbling for cheerleading. The teal is a beautiful color and feels very soft, maybe a little slippery at first so definitely remove any socks before tumbling. You definitely need a firm surface such as hardwood floor or tile floor for this mat to go on in order to keep it uniformly flat. I attached this to our old cheer mat with a 4 inch velcro (purchased separately) to make a mat that totalled 16 feet. It's perfect for short tumbling runs. If she used this 10 ft mat on it's own, she is able to do 2 standing back handsprings without feeling like she might fall off. It's also long enough for a power hurdle roundoff. Everyone who comes over has been excited to roll around on the mat- it's also come in handy as a sleepover mat for my son's friends, instead of sleeping on the floor.

Be forewarned that these are stiff and firm mats. The actual mat material seems to be very lightweight, but stiff/dense polyethylene foam.It's cut into 6 inch wide, 5 foot long segments, glued to the carpet-top. Allow a few days for the product to lose it's chemical smell.While it sounds cheap, and maybe it is, it does what it's supposed to do. It's not that soft, if you fall onto your knees, as an adult, it will still really rather hurt, but it's definitely keeping you from hitting whatever is underneath.As long as you know it's not that cushy, then these are still good mats. The segmented construction means that you CAN roll them up and store them AND unroll them and NOT have curled edges to worry about. The carpeting can be slippery if you have dry bare-feet or regular socks, unless it's otherwise humid.These are good for handstands, pushups, keeping your floor more soundproof, reducing vibrations, possibly yoga but NOT for gymnastics nor most martial arts.

Wow!!! Just wow! I really cannot believe the awesome quality of this mat for the price we paid. It was so much less expensive than so many of the other mats that I felt a bit iffy about getting it. Well there was no need to worry. This is an awesome mat. It rolls up easily and has a strap to make it easier to transport. It is the perfect thickness for my gymnast. It seems to be exactly the same as competing thickness. The carpeted area is beautiful and well done. We could not be more pleased. The size is amazing! The fact that we could get such a high quality mat in such a large size for this price is crazy! We will definitely recommend this mat to our gymnast friends! Just awesome!!

My cheerleader is super excited to have this practice mat at home- she’s backflipping all the time now. The mat is exactly as described and shipped faster than expected. It came with a Velcro strap for holding it wrapped and is light enough for my little one to move herself.

We tried several types regarding gymnastics mat. This one is the best for exercise lovers!!

This gymnastics mat is exactly what we needed. It is 5'x10'. The carpet and padding are as described. My daughters use it to practice their handstands, rolls and cartwheels and my husbands uses it for yoga. We keep ours rolled up unless it's being used and the ends tend to curl up and not lay flat as a result but I wouldn't expect any different. If we do leave the mat laying flat for awhile the ends relax and the mat in completely flat.

The product is exactly as expected -- great quality. Purchased the dark gray color and it looks fantastic. Won't show stains easily. We had an issue with our order and Dollamur corrected the problem immediately. Would buy again.

Purchased for use by daughters practicing gymnastics. We have it on the concrete floor in our unfinished basement for use under a low beam or for floor exercises. Very high quality. Does not slide around. Could also be used for yoga and other workouts. Easy to roll, unroll and move around as needed.
