Neat find.
Looks just like the picture. Big enough for my son to enjoy and carry around. We opted for this specimen oposed to one embalmed in fluid from other sellers as we didn't want the jar to break and spill dead octopus pieces around the house. Arrived we'll packaged and promptly. Very happy with this purchase

Did not look like at all the picture advertised
When I received the two specimens I ordered, They were very flat and there was no real shape to them. I have one specimen that I bought from the Museum of Osteology gift shop, and that one isn't flat, and is a beautiful specimen. When I saw the advertised picture, I thought it looked great, so I ordered two, but when they came in they were squished. They didn't look horrible, but they didn't have the shape of a live octopus like the specimen that I have in the attached picture where the head, eyes and arms are the shape they should be. If this company ever sells the octopus specimen in their natural shape, I would be willing to even pay more.

Does not look like photos
The octopus does not look like any of the photos shown. It looks like a blob in the resin.

Question about sources
Does anyone know how they source these animals and parts such as skulls? It seems like a waste of life if they are just killing these to seal in plastic. I can understand using road kill but I’ve never understood killing butterflies just to pin them to a board. Seems like Monarch’s and other species are becoming less frequent each year
