The handle has a rubber ring on the lower part, keeping it fairly secure while traveling. Can be removed for washing as needed. Pretty good quality, but no real frills. You get what your paying for and that isn't bad at all!

The mug really works well at keeping my drinks, hot or cold, Doesn’t leak, I prefer plastic straws so I don’t use the metal straw that it came with. Otherwise, it feels sturdy and durable and it does what it’s supposed to do!

I filled this up with ice and it still Had ice in it the next day. It is very good quality and it keeps your drink cold for hours.

Update:I've used this mug for a little bit longer now and have a couple other things to mention since my initial review. They aren't show-stoppers - I still use this daily, but they are kind of annoying.1. There isn't an easy way to get the flapper piece off, which means that when you want to clean it, you either have to get very creative with the smallest scrubbing tool you can find, let it stay dirty, or gently try to take it off which will result in the little plastic knob to break, thus making it impossible to put back together as it originally was. I don't know if this is user error but I could not figure out a way to take it out without snapping that tiny piece off.2. The flapper hits your nose when you drink, which is kind of annoying. Not a huge deal, but I don't enjoy ending up with coffee on my nose each time I drink.3. I still cannot get the lid to stay on snugly all the time, so even when I am constantly pushing it down, there is still some liquid that gets stuck under and leaks out of the side. Annoying, but again, not a deal breaker.I purchased this to replace a Pelican tumbler that was too awkwardly sized to fit an off-brand handle. I thought the price of this set was a great deal, and the size of the tumbler was perfect for filling with coffee and adding creamer, with room to spare so it's not sloshing out the top. The tumbler itself is nice. It's relatively light-weight, seems resistant to scratches (so far), and keeps coffee warm. It doesn't keep it scalding but I think that's OK, since I like to be able to drink my coffee basically right away instead of waiting an hour for it to cool to drinkable temps. The lid is easy to take on and off, and clean, and the piece over the mouth hole snaps into place pretty firmly so that's nice. No worries about it coming loose easily. I have had some issues with some coffee getting up in the rim of the lid and then dribbling out when I drink it, but that's only happened a few times and could be user error. Once that little extra is cleaned out of there, it doesn't happen again. The handle is nice, it stays put but isn't impossible to take off, and it's also lightweight. I would recommend this!

North 30-Ounce Stainless Tumbler is remarkably well made, sturdy and useful !! It keeps drinks either cold or hot for incredible lengths of time. I've tested them to hold ice cubes in a drink useful for at least 18 hours (or more) and to hold hot drinks notably hot for 6 hours (or more) under room temperatures. (Note: For some reason, very similar 20-oz stainless tumblers only perform temperature control about 60% as long as these 30-oz tumblers in our experience.)The sliding spout lid with gasket is indeed highly spill-resistant (provided the user is careful enough to close it when moving around or not actively drinking). The only very slight negative, if any, is that the lid is slightly thick and its design makes the first sip a bit hard to control until you get some practice, so very hot drinks may tend sting or burn users lips unless they are extremely careful when they first get this tumbler. You quickly learn ways to control this, or to simply brew hot drinks far enough ahead that they are cool enough to take first sips when you're ready. (All tumblers with similar lids will share this factor.)The handle, which comes from a third party supplier, is solid, steady and comfortable when in use. Being removable, this hanlde makes the tumbler extra easy to clean. It can slip down during storage and on a counter awaiting use, but simply gripping the handle and lifting when your ready to fill the tumbler restores the handle to position.We've bought, and I've reviewed some 20-oz plastic foam insulated tankards with plastic lids in the past. Plastic performs OK, but offers virtually no useful heated or cooled proper drink temperature time compared to these 30-ounce North brand tumblers. Plastic tumblers we've tried also develop problems with proper fitting & sealing lids plus various dents & scratches on the lid and tankard top lip that are uncomfortable to drink from after only a few months of use. The best of the plastic tankards we've tried hold drinks cold about 40% as long, and hold drinks hot only about 25% as long as these North 30-oz Tumblers.If you seek the nicest finished and best performing hot and cold insulated stainless steel tumblers for home and travel, we would strongly suggest you get NORTH 30-Ounce Stainless Steel Insulated Tumbler Set (tumbler + lid + handle + 2 straws) !!!

I was skeptical about the quality of this tumbler mostly because, well, I’m a cynical person. But I was amazingly impressed with this product.I opened the shipping box to find the box for the tumbler ripped open. I was expecting a damaged product but it appeared fine.I bought this tumbler for my daily smoothies. The plastic container that comes with my nutri-bullet doesn’t keep it cold enough throughout my morning, nor is it all that secure at not leaking.After washing all the parts, which was very easy to do, I filled it with my somewhat frozen smoothie at around 7:30am. I didn’t finish my smoothie that day but at 5:30pm when I returned home, I was curious to see if it was still somewhat cold. Not only was it still very cold, some of the fruit was still frozen 10 hours later! Love it!!!The only issue I have is when I sip out of the opening some of the shake stays around the spout, so when I slide it to close it it splashed whatever residual smoothie is left around the opening. Maybe I just need to slurp around the opening more before closing it.Other than that it is a fantastic product that is probably the best band for the buck of any tumbler out there!

Awesome mugs kerps stuff hot or cold for hours but if ising for coffee or tra make sure to wash out assoon as you can after finishing as it does stain

My Husband uses this for his ice cold drinks. He puts ice in it in the morning and he raves about the fact that by dinner time it still has ice in it and it’s nice and cold. He absolutely loves it.

LOVE my North Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated 5-Piece Tumbler Set, 30 oz. It is excellent for keeping beverages, especially ice water super cold for hours. Ice can last all day and evening. It fits in the beverage holder in the car. The fact that this tumbler comes complete with cover, handle, straw and straw cleaner was an AWESOMEbonus and the price is PERFECT. I also have a YETI tumbler while it is excellent as well it is also much more expensive and all extras had to be purchased separately. I will be purchasing another North tumbler later for a gift.

its a nice quality ,easy to clean, nice double cup size, metel straw is awesome so far, i was worried it might clank around but its not making any noise - just got it so we will see how she holds up but so far im very pleased. wish the package was sealed better- it came in a open-able box and non sealed wrap , DID HAVE A SMALL scratch where a tiny piece of the black cover but its nothing i care about much its good quality for the price i paid
