It died!
It died. I followed directions to the max, but I think it couldn't take the heat.

5/24/17. Update on previous review from october. Plants are thriving and beginning to bloom. Ill add a photo when they do. I ordered 2 . They were packaged perfectly. Very secure. Soil still moist under the Moss . One seemed very healthy the other was healthy enough. I live in New York so for the first week I couldn't plant them due to an early frost threat for 2 nights (early October) the Temps went back to the sixties and seventies the next week and they did beautifully in there pots. They've now been in the ground only a few weeks and seem to be doing well. I only gave 4 stars because the 1 plant didn't seem as healthy as the other. May have had some disease as the leaves were yellow with some black spots and holes. However it seems to be thriving. I will return and rate again in the summer when I see whats to become of them. Based on the packaging and size of the plants I will most likely order more in early spring.

I loved my little plant despite being a Blue Bird...
My hydrangea arrived very well, was well looked after, well packed and even came with instruction manual to help. The reason for giving 4 stars is because I received the Blue Bird type not Niko Blue as advertised.

DOA, contrary to the so-called guarantee.
When it arrived, it was just a few sticks. I planted it anyway because the paper that came with it assured me that my new plant was surely not dead, just dormant. I planted it according to the instructions and have gingerly care for it since. It has been in the ground for a month and a half getting healthy amounts of watering regularly. It still today looks exactly the same as the day it arrived, like a handful of dead sticks. It hasn't so much as changed even a shade of color, let alone produced a leaf or a blossom. I wanted to be patient and give the benefit of the doubt, but I am really starting to believe that it was in fact dead on arrival to the point of no return. Unfortunately I doubt if there is anything I can do about it at this point. Companies always say that they guarantee their plants, but then they say to wait to see if it starts growing or blossoms. But by the time you determine for a fact that it is DOA it is too late to return or exchange it.

I Don't Have the Blues
Plant was fine, I guess, but you just can't grown these in the Arizona desert, even in consstant shade. If you're in Zona 9, forget it. But, if you want to see some huge, great specimens, visit Stanley Park in Vancouver, BC.
