Never let a tube cool off without cap on
this product has changed the way I do business. I glue end grain on miters almost exclusively, and could not imagine life without this stuff. To the critics who say the glue tubes only last one use: you are not doing it right. I have tubes in the gun for months at a time with many heating/using/cooling cycles on each tube, no problems. Never take the cap off a tube that is not up to temp. Never let a tube cool off without cap on. Thats all I do, never have problems, even with old tubes. Moisture cures poly, as do cool temps in this case. Avoid those, and no problems. To lengthen cure times in humid or cool areas, use a heat gun on surfaces that will receive glue. Bond is fast and permanent, so mistakes are hard to fix. A heat gun will re-melt this glue for the first few minutes after it cures, but that is about all the time you have to try and undo a glue up. squeeze out must be removed immediately. I pull off what I can right when the glue goes from clear to opaque as it cures. then I heat any small amount of squeeze out with a heat gun and wipe it away. joints cure in a couple minutes with no clamping, vs curing over night with clamps. obvious choice.

Fills gaps wonderfully. Unbelievably nice joint and can not be seen ...
This glue in, all the drying times, is superb. I have constantly found uses that I have not thought of before every time I run across a bonding problem. For instance, recently while installing engineered click flooring the one problem was sideways transitions into another room and under door casings. Simply use a shoulder plane and remove the bead on one board till it just slips under the female joint. Lay down the glue, slide it in and hold it for the time necessary for the glue you are using to set. Fills gaps wonderfully. Unbelievably nice joint and can not be seen and trimming excess glue is a snap. Expensive, YES, will not stay fresh when opened and stored, YES, but get over it! This adhesive is for big jobs and commercial usage and if you can't justify the cost for the project you are doing, don't use it. I just finished a kitchen where I installed everything from the floor and four walls up using RAT cabinets and used in combination with other adhesives this product. Stellar results.

A bit thick
I should have bought the 30 second version. I've heard it's more viscous. This stuff tends to spread the joint unless you clamp it

Great, but thats half of it
Best glue on the market, however, it is very expen$ive, and here's why- if any of you have used a caulking gun before, you're probably used to the fact that once it builds up pressure, the caulking keeps coming out even though the caulking gun itself has stopped the plunger. The caulking tube itself is then highly pressurized. SO, lets transfer that same issue to a much smaller cartridge, that requires an amazing amount of force to break the glue seal of these cartridges, after the cap is off obviously. Thats because the air gap inside (when the cap is on) is enough to harden the glue in the very tip of the cartridge. SO I'm gong to cover the two main ISSUES: 1) Broke the glue gun: This adhesive contains a pretty serious Cyano-acrylate, or super glue, that give the adhesive a serious instant bond, before the melted urethane dries surrounding it. Long story short- it broke the glue gun, a Steinel glue gun. It split the top of the handle because the seal in the cartridge requires more pressure than the handle body can take with the weak and tiny posts that the screws go into to hold it together. I was not impressed by a company like Steinel to make such a weak compromise in their design. You cant tell how weak it is until it breaks so you can see it on the inside. Aside from the glue gun- FRANKLIN Intl needs to seriously figure this one out, its every single cartridge, not just random ones. 2) The cartridge design is poor, in that once you've stopped squeezing, the plunger with notches don't do anything. It keeps pouring itself out without stopping. This in itself wastes an average of about 10% of the 50 gram cartridge. As you squeeze, it takes pressure to get it out, then it doesn't stop until about 10 seconds. Its very frustrating to see the money you spent on it pouring itself out. It works worse than a $5 tube of caulking. I would consider this review before you go out and spend over $140 to purchase.

Incredibly Strong
I swear by this product. I use it for casing miters and did a test miter and was not able to break it. It’s a permanent bond.

Great Product
The whole crew loves this stuff! We pre glue our miters and the glue is stronger than the mdf. When installing I can stress the joints and they will not break. Great stuff!
