Where's Waldo Now?

This is a such a cute book! 📕 my son loves I spy books so I bought him a where’s Waldo Halloween themed book for his boo basket and he was so excited! The book is good quality and it’s a very fun activity for the kids. Great price too! Shipped on time and fast very impressed :)

The spotlight feature is a small but neat twist in finding Waldo and his crew. My 6 yr old loves it.

My 4-year-old son recently brought home a similar book and had so much fun with it that I decided to order this one. He usually doesn’t show much interest in regular Waldo books, but he seems to really enjoy this one—perhaps because the spotlight feature captures his attention. While it might be a bit advanced for him, I think this would make a great seasonal gift for older kids.

My 7 year old bought this and another one out of his Amazon Christmas gift card. I thought he might be a little old for them, as he reads at a 4th grade level but he always finds them enjoyable and it is about so much more than just finding the Waldo. He loves examining every detail of the pictures and finds new stuff each and every time. Great for a car ride, or to fill a period of time when you have nothing else planned and don't want to break out a game or electronics.

I will always be partial to the first 2 Waldo books in the series. There is real creativity, freshness, and fun. My personal opinion is that the later books have more people (i.e., the people are packed on the pages like sardines), but less creativity/spunk. Honestly, when there are 5,000 people on a page like it seems there are in some of the later books, it can become more frustrating than fun. Instead of looking at the cute scenes and interactions between the characters, you're busy searching through a mass-reproduced mob for an all-but-impossible to find Waldo. It's like if another artist/illustrator tried to copy the original Waldo books, but lost some of the spirit of the books in the process. I own all of the Waldo books, and as a general rule of thumb with Waldo books I'd say the earlier it was published, the better it is...with the exception of the Hollywood book, which is better than the 3rd.

I received the first edition of Where's Waldo in perfect condition. The book was well packaged and got here sooner than expected. This edition is special because it was removed from publication in the 90s because of a topless sunbathers. Excellent collector's edition.

Excelente! Me acuerdo de estos libros cuando niño y para Navidad quise regalarle uno a mi cuñado, que no los había nunca visto pero que había oído de ellos por nosotros. Pues bien, lo recibió y le ha encantado! Inmediatamente se puso a buscar a Waldo y su pandilla y ahora es adicto de ellos, como es natural! Compré la versión en tapa blanda, por no añadirles mucho peso en las valijas, y debo decir que no hay nada de que qué quejarse sobre esta versión. Por el precio, es casi un regalo en sí. Y la calidad interior es excelente; me arriesgo a decir que debe ser igual la calidad interior de la versión de tapa dura. Dicho esto, si se quiere tener una colección de estos libros que dure años y años, merece la pena invertir en la versión de tapa dura. Este de aquí es el primer libro de todos los que salieron. He visto que hay colecciones y recopilaciones de aniversario, pero yo quise ir por el original, por el mismo que fue el primero que disfruté de niño. Dicho esto, hay que saber que esta no es la versión primerísima, aquella que salió en los 80s, sino aquella que fue posteriormente revisada por el autor en los 90s. Muchos habrán incluso crecido con esta segunda versión, pero los que hayan tenido los libros en los 80s sabrán que en ellos solo había que buscar a Walfo y más nada. Pues, en esta versión revisada están también los otros personajes para buscar; cosa que en mí opinión no le quita nada, sino más bien le agrega más diversión. Mencionaré, además, para evitar confusiones que a veces se tienen con estos libros, que Where's Waldo? y Where's Wally? se tratan ambos de exactamente los mismos libros, es solo el nombre del personaje principal que cambia según el país. En efecto, Wally era el nombre original, dado por el autor, que es británico. Este se convirtión en Waldo en los EEUU. Yo leí de niño los libros americanos y es por eso que he preferido ir por el que para mí fue clásico.

Not so suitable for children, as it requires a good attention skill. Lo compré para regalarlo a un chico de 10 años y fue perfecto, siempre y cuando tenga un buen nivel de inglés (this also applies for native English children).
