Currently, this backpack/stool is nicely constructed and looks stylish and classy enough to take around the city for the urban traveler/shopper. You will definitely be able to fit a water bottle, snacks, laptop and some college books inside with room to spare and zippered slots for credit cards, keys, money, and other small personal items. If you are someone one who happens to load your backpack down with a lot of stuff (like I do) or would use it for overnight trips then more width space is needed but if your a minimalist overnighter on the go, it's perfect. : ) At the moment, the stool seat by itself is supposed to be designed to accomodate an adult under 220lbs and it does work however, if you have a fairly average/large frame and have an average, athletic, or large American butt (as I do) your butt will not be able to fully rest on the stool seat. I would say the stool seat needs a little more adjustments. It does the job; It's not completely comfortable but it's not completely uncomfortable either (does that make sense) since the back of the backpack's bag can fold onto the seat for added padding (which is a plus). If you got a small frame, then the stool seat will do just nicely. By the way, there is a another flap on the back of the backpack that folds down so your backpack is protected from getting dirty on the floor (if you decide to use it). Overall, this backpack is lovely, would make a nice gift for a student or someone whose on the go and might want to sit down for a minute maybe while waiting in line. With a few more simple adjustments for me, it will be a winner. I'm giving it 3.5 stars for now but will give more and some updates when I have more time.UPDATE... so I changed my rating to 4 1/3 stars . The company (which is top knotch for customer service) has been so lovely and responsive to my review so they are sending me another chair to replace the small one. : ) They're very committed to fixing the seat right now and hopefully it comes in time for me to update again.UPDATE.... the new chair came and it is wonderful. I have took it out and sat in it at various places and had no issues... the weight goes up to 220lbs now and now they get 5 stars from me. Good travel backpack....for maybe 1 trip. Use the stool for school around my campus. I love the pockets and compartments. I ordered this back in March and it first ripped in May. I am writing this now at the end of August and this is what is looks like. Durability 0. To give the company some credit, I do in fact carry my laptop in my bag sometimes. Once this thing rips, it can’t be fixed.

Excellent quality! Material is thick but light weight. The chair is nice and sturdy. Recommend it for any outdoor sport. It was a perfect gift!

Very very sturdy with tons of space. I can now pack a lot of gear in it and then open it up to sit down. Its simply that amazing.

This bag/ chair is great. It looks just as picture. Color is great and it has laptop compartment and two more pockets.Great product

It looks good in pictures but it’s made from cheap materials and the flimsy small chair is odd to get out. Don’t think I’m keeping it. Thank goodness for returns.

thought it was suppose to come with a stool? guess i have to buy it separately? for the price, you'd think it came with it.
