Perfect for d&d
My family really enjoys D&D. They loved the size and good quality of the mat. They liked the squares vs hexagon on each side. They were very excited about being able to use the mat for their next campaign. Exactly what we were looking for.

v v good
It's good, it cleans off pretty easily, but it needs washable crayola markers, not dry erase markers. That's a little annoying, so hopefully...you read these reviews before you buy this and get washable markers instead of dry erase ones! It's still great, though.

Better than dry erase.
The dual sides allow me to craft indoor and outdoor encounters with ease. Using water soluble markers makes for fast easy clean up.

Decent Drawable Miniature Gaming Mat
This isn't too bad a drawable gaming surface - provided one strictly follows the directions that came with it. The side is perfect for smaller tables for miniatures. This is not the most expensive product on the market, and maybe it shows a bit in the form of some of the grid lines being slightly smeared in the printing. It comes on a roll and the two different sides of the mat are actually two one-sided prints on a flexible-plastic material that are then "welded" together along the edges. This wouldn't necessarily be a problem, but on the one I received, part of the roll had stuck to itself and required careful separation to unroll it -- and as careful as I was, a few small tears occurred in the materials which could lead to larger tearing issues over time. Overall, I'm content with this purchase for the price, but I think the quality control could be better on the product.

Works, but rough around the edges.
Good size, Works well. definitely reccomend using only washable markers, as these wipe off easily.I deducted a star because the edges of the mat look like they were cut by a spastic meth-head, or maybe a toddler. Also, the lines are obviously thicker towards one edge of the mat. Just a poor printing job in my opinion.. Like i said Though, definitely works as a large reusable battle mat. I still reccomend this product, I'm just saying don't expect elven refinement or dwarvish craftsmanship here.

I must say that I am VERY satisfied with this mat
I have read many of the reviews and to be honest I was concerned based on many of the; less than glowing, reviews. But, I must say that I am VERY satisfied with this mat. The shipping issues noted in previous reviews were not present. The mat was tightly rolled and protected with a core tube and shrink wrap. It was not bent, or flattened. The edges of the mat were crisp and in good condition. The Box itself was beat up, but the contents well protected. I have only used wet erase markers because I had heard that dry-erase do not work and leave "scaring" or faint traces. I do wipe them off immediately after game play is done. The printing on the vinyl is crisp and clear, no blemishes! I am very satisfied with this product and would definitely purchase from this seller and manufacturer again!

Easily stained by wet erase markers.
The folds were annoying when it first shipped but after rolling the mat in across the folds that straightened them out. My biggest problem is that wet erase markers stain the surface. Blue, especially, left dark marks I was unable to clean, even using rubbing alcohol. I probably wont get may uses out of it before I'll need to replace it. I suggest paying a little more for a better quality mat.Another thought: The WET ERASE mat shipped with a DRY ERASE marker... HUH? I was lucky. I got suspicious when I saw the eraser tip on the marker, but that could have ruined the surface had I used it.

Awesome! Definitely buying more
I'm a DM addicted to mapmaking and this is absolutely perfect for what I need. It's vinyl, and two-sided. On one side, its square grids, on the opposite, its hexes. This is being used for Dungeons and Dragons, so the grinding accommodates minis really well. I use wet-erase markers. DO NOT USE DRY ERASE MARKERS ON THIS. It's included on the instructions for the mat to NOT use dry-erase markers, but I know not everyone reads instructions, so... yeah, WET ERASE ONLY.The package arrived in a long rectangular box and the mat itself was rolled up and sealed inside. When I opened it, it unrolled perfectly- no wrinkles, no folding indents. It smells a little, but its vinyl. It's gonna smell like vinyl. For use with this mat, I bought some Expo Vis-a-Vis Wet Erase markers in the 8-pack, so I have more colors to choose from. I can't wait for my players to see what I come up with!Overall, I have zero complaints about this mat. It's exactly what I needed and I plan to buy more in the future for those multiple-dungeon nights!

Good quality.
The mat is a thick vinyl. DO NOT USE DRY ERASE! Use overhead projector markers, you can find them cheap. The dry erase will mark up your mat.

Decent gaming mat
Be advised you will need over head projector markers, dry erase will stain. Comes clean with windex and paper towel, if you are not sure if your maker is erasable try marking outside the grid on the edge of the mat first

Great map!
Good quality, sturdy map. Less expensive than most other maps on the market. Works great with my wet erase markers, love that it’s double sided with hexes and a regular grid. I recommend it!

Don’t use white board markers on it!!!
Wanted to use this as a play may for D&D games with my nephews and I used a dry erase marker to draw out the map. Lo and behold, I could not erase it. Even with windex or alcohol. So what use is this for if you can’t draw and erase your maps on it???

Does not erase
Read through a ton of reviews and tries overhead markers as suggested. First use and it would not erase
