Excellent art and story!
Stunning art, simple story but very effective in showing what Batman is all about at his core. The print is bigger in size than most comics and it fully utilises the great art.The two sub-plots running along side by side compliment each other perfectly. One shows the cycle of low level crime through a young boy who tragically loses his parents, with obvious parallels to Batman. The other shows a greedy property developer from high society caught up in corrupt and illegal practices. This is the world Bruce pretends to be a part of, whilst acknowledging under different circumstances he could've ended up going a similar way.I haven't got a bad thing to say about Batman: War on Crime, I'm sure I'll re-read in the future. High up the list of must read stories for Batman fans.

Great art, bland writing
From the team that brought you the awesome Kingdom Come comes a great looking soft cover graphic novel. If it were just the art that counted this would be 5*'s but unfortunately the gorgeous art is let down by a disappointing storyline. The tale never really gets going and because of its short length is terminally hamstrung. The tale is not involving or deep enough and does not do justice to the great job done on the artwork. A masterpiece to look at but not to read :(
