Well balanced, versatile earphones at a great price
I needed a pair of fairly cheap earphones for running and the gym that are durable, comfortable and sound great and after seeing many positive reviews for the E1000s I decided to give them a go.Straight out of the box I liked the sleek, minimalist design of these earphones and they are feather light. I often have issues with in ear comfort and with earphones not staying in my ears whilst on the move but these are the most comfortable earphones I have ever owned and didn’t fall out once during a long run.The first track I used to test these earphones was the “Under The Influence” by The Chemical Brothers. This track is famous for it’s Earth shakingly heavy low end and the E1000s handle this well. The bass is clear, punchy and not as overbearing as I’ve noticed on a lot of earphones in this price range. The mids are perfectly clear and well detailed and the highs are crisp with no harshness at all.Next up I went for Pharoah Sanders’ “Astral Travelling.” There are many instruments in this track and I was very impressed with the immersive staging and separation on the E1000s. Every single instrument was crystal clear and detailed and when closing my eyes I really felt like I was stood front and centre in a dark, intimate jazz club.I heard that the E1000s were particularly excellent for listening to rock stuff so I went for Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song.” The track sounded huge and again I was impressed by the separation and clarity. The drums, bass and guitar sounded powerful and due to the excellent mid range on the E1000s the vocals were articulate and cut through perfectly, in fact the E1000s handle vocals considerably better than other earphones that I’ve owned that were triple the price! The E1000s are extremely well balanced and are versatile with all genres sounding fantastic and with an elegance that is a pleasant surprise for a pair of earphones in this price range and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Great solid earphones, with nice sound.
These are the entry level to final's e-series, and very clearly a no-frills entry into the lineup. Compared to the pricier e2000c, the plastic housing and cabling are definitely more of a basic proposition. Having said that, the plastic housing doesn't feel 'cheap', it just doesn't have the luxury feel of the more expensive IEM's. The cable is two-strands-joined-together, rather than bound together into one fatter strand below the split, and I actually prefer this cable to the other one. It feels a little more rugged, and like it could stand up to a little more abuse. No extra frills in the packaging, which is no hardship. I can't imagine really needing yet another pleather pouch to put earbuds in, and very seldom get around to actually using the pouches in daily use anyway!I love the fit of Final's earbuds, and can sling them straight into my ears no problems. They come with the standard range of different sized tips, and I found I preferred to wear a slightly smaller one than usual, as I preferred the sound more when these were slightly more deeply inserted. I really like final's tips in general, as the brighter-colour insert on the right IEM gives more of a clue to which ear is which than the small embossed lettering on the housing. Isolation is pretty good, and precisely in line with what one might expect for this kind of rubber tip. When I first listened to these out of the box, I was worried that the sound might be a little harsh. They appeared slightly more high-frequency-heavy than I like, and I know I get fatigued by this over longer periods. Happily, as the drivers settled in a bit, the sound improved significantly. I'm not 100% convinced by all claims made about 'burn in', but these definitely benefited from a little time to bed-in before evaluating them.Sound-wise, these are well tuned as a pretty even frequency response. Not bass-monsters by any means, and if that's what you are really looking for in an earphone then these may not be for you, but bass is adequate in proportion without being overpowering.Midrange is well controlled by the 6.4mm dynamic driver, and vocals are nice and clear in the mix. High frequencies are pretty prominent, and these aren't shy and retiring. The extension and clarity aren't what you might get from a higher end IEM, but then these are less than the cost of a good steak dinner, and will 99% of the time be used in noisy environments where that subtlety is entirely wasted and surplus to requirements. These will form part of my rotation of 'throw it in the bag and forget it' IEM's, more than up to the challenge of daily use, and perfectly good enough in that situation, without being precious enough to worry about throwing them in a pocket full of keys/change. I wouldn't ever be disappointed with having to listen to my music through these on the go, and that is precisely what you might want from them.

Great headphones for the price!
I already own a pair of E2000’s made by the same brand and have been using them for a couple of months now. I was so impressed with them that when my partner wanted some new headphones I knew I’d be picking up another pair by Final. As she wanted headphones with an in-line mic I gave her my E2000’s and have been using the E1000’s this week. The first difference is although they look the same these have plastic casing vs the metal casing on the E2000’s. The ear buds themselves are the exact same design so I knew exactly what size to go for. The only other difference is the cable which is a two wire arrangement all the way through where as the E2000’s have a single which splits halfway up to each earphone. This being said the build quality seems just as good and they certainly feel sturdy enough. Also being plastic they are even more lightweight. In terms of sound quality they are incredibly close to be honest. I’d say the highs lack a little clarity compared to the E2000’s but they still offer a really nice balanced sound and to my ears at least actually have slightly more punch down low.Long story short I’m very pleased with these headphones and will continue to recommend Final products to friends and family instead of the overpriced big names in the industry. If you want a slightly nicer build and sound the E2000’s are worth the extra money but at this price point these a very hard to beat.
