Overall, I really loved this thing - for the two days it lived. It had a great picture, and the night vision was actually decent. Very bright IR lights. The controls were a bit flaky (especially with regard to up and down, which was much less adjustable than side to side), but overall, it was fine for what I wanted to do.However, I found the set-up to be a major hassle compared to other cameras. It WILL NOT WORK with iSpy unless you know exactly which part of it to connect. The service and support seem to be, well, non-existent, though to be honest, I wasn't exactly patient in dealing with that. I was using the digital zoom when the picture froze.I thought, no big deal.I'm not new to IP cameras by any stretch of the imagination. I've worked with them for nearly 20 years. If rebooting, and/or resetting to factory original specs doesn't work, typically nothing will. I tried both, repeatedly, and waited the typical two minutes it took for it to wake up each time, and zip. It connected, a red border came up, but no picture showed ever again. I killed an entire afternoon messing with it after it went kerblewie. Obviously, it's defective.I would have given it more than one star had it come back to life. But I wouldn't have rated it five, because it WAS hard to set up. For the most part, they're hard because they don't follow any standard that most of these (at least in the past) followed. It's a proprietary software that doesn't play nice. It has tiny non-intuitive icons and the features and controls are, to say the least, rudimentary. It struck me as very much a work in progress. It lacked the kind of polish one would expect to see for a user interface, and many of the options I'd expect to have are either elsewhere or entirely missing (like presets, multi-control options, enabling IR without the lights, etc.).The set-up instructions are vague and somewhat contradictory for PC-only use, which is all I planned for it. The tools provided for PC use only sort of worked, and I was never able to successfully connect to the camera via browser, before or after it "died". I did NOT set it up for use with a cell phone, since I value my privacy and the set-up options on this lacked some security features I'd like to have seen otherwise. (2FA for example.)Still, since I did manage to get it working properly despite the instructions being confusing, and was happy with what I saw, I'd have rated it three stars, taking two off for the set-up on a PC part of the instructions and the seeming lack of control features other similarly priced cameras have. That I never got it to work on any browser was a major reason for losing a star.Assuming this is a one-off and these things aren't ALL defective (or can't handle the digital zoom feature better than the one I got), then I'd probably still not recommend them. But since I've never done business with this company before, and I only give a NEW company ONE chance to get it right, this one is done, and one lonely star for it. Obviously I'd NOT recommend it based on my personal experience.I'll take my business elsewhere, and check iSpy's list for compatibility BEFORE I buy another one (something I didn't think I'd need to do with this - we live and learn).

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this to keep an eye on our baby after my wife moved out of our bedroom. The camera works well, is of a good enough quality to see baby breathing. Set up is very straightforward, just download the "SotionCam" app and follow the sign up instructions. The night vision is also perfectly good for our needs. I think this is excellent value for money, especially when comparing to the equivalent baby monitor products.

The media could not be loaded.  Brought this to watch my dog while I'm not home. It is easy to link via Wi-Fi however once plugged directly into router was easy to setup for wireless viewing. Great picture great app. So good I brought a second camera which easily linked with my present one using the same method. So simple and easy to set up. Coverage is excellent and the night vision too. Price was extremely good value even without the lightening deal. Definitely recommend it.

It is easy to connect - it took less than 5 minutes from unpacking to connect the Sotion camera to my wifi network. Set up is easy with QR codes. I do not bother with cables but use the wifi method described in the user manual and never had a problem. It is so simple a child could do it. There is no need to change any router settings. Great product, great customer service, couldn't ask for more!

It was easy enough to set up and it worked okay for a couple months. The connection was often slow and the audio was iffy at best. Then it started making weird noises and moving when no one was connected to it, even after I changed the password. And then one day it stopped connecting. I followed the procedures for reconnecting and then my internet router died in a very mysterious way. Use this product with caution.

I am so sick and tired of buying cameras with 4 star reviews that have awful apps, therefore making them useless! No matter how strong the internet connection for some reason this camera goes offline on the app constantly and can take two minutes to finally load. I’ve had it between house moves so I know its not us, but it doesn’t matter anyway because when you try to talk to your baby it sounds loud and horrific no matter what you do; which must have been pretty scary when I tried to soothe my crying kid a few times...lol Oh! And no temperature display either. Basically, almost everything important is missing from this camera.

The media could not be loaded.  Really happy with the purchase for the price it’s clear you can talk through it listen and adjust the camera view on your phone. Great little thing! This is a great camera,very clear I help setting it up but didn't take long. Only thing is you do hear a regular blip when listening but you get used to it being the camera and not your pet! Three of my friends are buying this product. Great value for money.

Great WiFi camera with audio. Quality and packaging was excellent. Captures video and image in high definition and detail and can be watched remotelly even if the camera or computer connects with wifi.One of the best things is it is very easy to setup and totally free. It is without monthy pay. To be honest it is so straightforward that one doesnt even require instructions to set it up. An ideal item to monitor and secure ones business or home. Much recommended!
