My Arlo 3 H9 camera is always charged 100%
Works as advertised and as easy to install as the Arlo cameras. Only issue is that because my cameras hang down under the eaves of the roof, it’s not easy to find a spot that gets lots of sun, even with the generous 8 feet of cord. Still, I found a decent spot for one of my cameras that only gets about 30% of the daily sunlight and tested it. It’s been three months and the device has refilled the battery and remains 100% full of charge.

Never charge your Arlo cameras again
Buy these, you’ll never have to pull your cameras down and charge them again. Top notch quality and time saver!!

Does what it’s supposed to do, 1 complaint
I just installed yesterday for my Arlo flood light. Overnight the camera dropped 4 percent. As soon as the sun hit the solar panel, it was back at 100 percent. Hasn’t moved. Only one complaint, the wire for the panel is only 8’ long and I don’t want to mount it right by the light because they aren’t the prettiest things you ever seen. What would be nice is if Arlo gave you 25-30 feet worth of wire and you could cut down to length. I’m no electrical engineer but this is common sense. A little expensive for what you get but to save time off of a ladder changing batteries or taking camera down to charge, it’s worth it.

Must have accessory for your Arlo Ultra Camera
The Arlo Ultra 4k camera is a pretty power hungry device if you plan to record in 4k Video. If you don't record in 4k, not sure why someone would buy the Arlo Ultra then. So, unless you plan to charge the camera pretty frequently manually (for me it was every ~2-3 weeks) you should pick up the Solar Charging Panel. I would recommend picking up the Arlo one as it appears to be better than others and less touchy. You will need to position the panel to get as much direct sun light as possible otherwise you will not charge your camera very much. Try to keep it out of the shade and point towards direct sunlight. I've tried a couple of "compatible" solar panels from other companies and I ended up returning them. For the Arlo Solar Panel with a good setup into direct sunlight I've gotten ~10-15% battery recharging per day. With a poor setup or the alternatives I've gotten only ~1-2% recharging per day.

Better than expected
I’ve never written a review and I wasn’t sure what to expect from this solar panel for my outside Arlo camera. Many of the reviews, dogged the capability of the solar panel thinking that their camera should never require recharging again...... Well this is what I have found. The length between charges is extended dramatically. Say from every 2 months to every 6 months. To me that is very good and hence the 5 stars. Bottom line, you still need to recharge the camera battery but the time between charges is 3x - 4x greater than before ————————————— Update: it’s now Mar 2021 and the solar panel charges the Arlo camera to 100%, so no plug in charging ever. The solar panel is better than expected

They'll take your money monthly, but don't expect to see an actual bill.
First, Arlo is the worst tech company I've dealt with. Almost non-existent customer service. Just try getting a hold of a real person there, or even finding a phone number or email contact on their website. My biggest gripe with them is the billing... or lack thereof. They DO NOT send bills to customers. They refuse to set up automatic emails of bills monthly. You can't log onto your account and see bills, nor will they automatically email you any bills whatsoever. Every other company that bills me automatically also sends me a bill via email automatically. Why is Arlo not able to??? In order to get a bill you have to log onto your account, then open a chat or open a service ticket and request a bill. It takes forever to get to a real live person on chat who can send you a bill. I've tried repeatedly to ask for a direct contact in the billing dept. and never been given one. They sure have no problem automatically taking money out of your bank account each month, but somehow they can't figure out generating an automatic bill to post to your account or to send you via email. Seems like it should be illegal for them to take your money without offering you a bill of services first. Also, the recordings are spotty and the distance it detects movement is not very long range. It doesn't always seem to follow all the movement, but a person has to get close and it seems to cut off within 45 seconds at most. If you can, go with another company for more protection and more transparent billing.

Not to bad could be cheaper.
So these items are only needed if you don’t want to constantly charge Arlo cameras. Depending on your settings these cameras die pretty quickly. And because of all the tech the use a lot of power. These are essential if you want to just and install outdoors and never want to worry about climbing onto a latter weekly to recharge. They work as advertised but they don’t fully charge unless it has a sun exposure. So position these wisely to get the most bang for your buck.

Green Option And Low Maintenance
Solid and well made, keeps my Arlo 4 Spotlight camera at 100% charge level day in and day out. I initially did a full charge using the DC power supply before positioning in my main entry way and the panel does a superb job of topping off. It helps the location is South facing getting 6-8 hours of direct sun daily depending on the time of year. Works great so far.
