Stunning Letterbox Format in BluRay Quality -- Great Re-mastering Job
I've been told "Highway to Heaven" is a bit soppy/sweet. Well, sometimes it's good to have some simple, down-to-Earth story telling. So, this review is presuming you already like the series. The first thing that grabs you is the video quality. Not only is the remastering done well, it isn't grainy or flickering. It's a stunning job of rendering an 80's TV show! The second thing, and to me it was an unexpected bonus, is the letterbox format! So, no longer the 4:3 "classical" TV dimensions. It's real letterbox rendering of the original photography. It took me a while to realize that the letterbox format was unusual, having watched so much stuff in it that I don't think it's unusual. But when I took out my old HTH DVDs, I noticed it: ⅓ of the picture was missing on the DVD version. And the picture quality was so-so. SO, WOW to the people who did the BluRay re-mastering! Thanks!!

Stunning Remastered Quality (Such A Good Values Show Everyone Should Memorize In Today's World)
I recently purchased the DVD collection of this show and it looked ok. I did not watch it much when I was a kid but did watch Little House On The Prairie and loved Michael Landon as an actor. This show has such values that you just do not see in tv these days. This new Remastered Blu Ray Series is stunning visually. It is just as good visually as the Remastered Little House set. Such a bargain for $55. The product was shipped promptly and in perfect condition. Great value. I love the religious values taught and good human element presented in this series. A far cry from today's world. If you like wholesome values buy this set now.

So awesome!
I was so exited to get the complete series on blu ray!! I loved this back in the day.I actually love the old fabric disc slots they used. I wish more boxed sets did this! Half the time they have the discs piled on top of each other and a pain to get out and/or they are sliding around because they don’t fit on each other and get scratched. Don’t get me started on cardboard! Anyway, the packaging is fantastic. The blu ray is crisp and clear! Everything is just perfect!!

Love the show... hate the packaging!
Considering this is the complete series, the price point can't be beat... but I've never seen worse packaging when it comes to DVD's... EVER! I've put trash in thicker envelopes than what each DVD is packaged in AND STACKED so you have a 3" pile of super-thin eveleopes stuffed into what looks like a normal DVD box. The episodes are clean enough, and, in fact, there were several episodes that haven't seen the light of day since their original air dates -- while some of the topics are dated and a little hokie, many of the messages still hold up today... like we've come to expect from Michael Landon Productions. In fact, the final episode in the series discusses what are now called GMO's, the water crisis, and the general pollution of the lands thanks to greed. Michael Landon and Victor French continue their Bro-Mance, and work seamlessly together... and I just love it... but the boxed set designer should be ashamed of themselves, and refund ANY money they made when they considered the packaging to be acceptable to diehard fans. Ultimately, $20 or so is all this package is worth... if only for the memory of Landon and French -- they were, and still are, awesome.
