Cures root rot!! I love hydroguard but this stuff works even better to prevent and cure root rot.
I have been using hydroguard for a year now and it’s been great at preventing root rot, however a few weeks ago my res temperatures in my DWC buckets stayed around 75F for 2 days. Which is all it took for root rot to straight up take over my roots. I mean brown sludge all over the roots… my res was already inoculated with hydroguard so I was quite surprised this happened. I got the temps down and changed the res water but could not get rid of the root rot with the hyrdorguard and lower temps. So I did some research and found UC roots. It is different by instead of creating a beneficial bacteria live system, it creates a completely sterile environment, killing all microbes and bacteria in your res (meaning you can’t use hydroguard with it). It also keeps all the salts (nutrients) dissolved so they don’t start building up on the side walls of the buckets/res. Anyways, after 3-4 days my roots are completely white now. And each day after the first treatment I noticed continued improvement. When I got the jug of UC roots I mixed up a fresh batch of nutrients and cleaned out each DWC bucket. I put 3 ml per gallon of UC roots into my nutrient res and out my devils lettuce plant into it. The next 3 days I added another 2ml per gallon to the res each day. By the 4th day these roots are super white and clean. I have also seen a huge growth spurt in these 4 days. Going forward I have been adding 2ml per gal of UC roots every 2 days and my water temps are around 72-73F which is no longer a problem now that I’m using UC roots. I can’t recommended this enough and I’m so happy this actually cured my root rot and it had no negative effects on the plant itself. I hope this review will save other grower’s Mary Jane plants!

over priced bleach water
so it does work but you can get the same stuff at the dollar store unscented bleach. if you smell the bottle and go smell a bleach bottle its watered down bleach. if you take a test strip for a pool where it shows you chlorine level, youll see that it's present. So keep in mind dont use too much of this stuff or your gonna end up killing your plants. that is why in reviews why some peoples plant roots were pearly white......... i'm going back to hydro guard and drip clean. atleast dripclean is also fertilizer.
