Google Chromebook Quick Source Reference Guide

Updated (current) guideline to key Chromebook features.
I'm a first time user of Google OS and a Chromebook, having always used Windows 10. And very little experience of AP- driven cell phones. And I'm almost 80 and no computer geek. But the Chromebook concept appealed to me in that I have tired of fighting viruses and hacks from the Microsoft operating system. The built-in security of OS, eliminating the need to have external security from Norton or McAfee. and the lower cost of the Chromebook had appeal. I purchased the latest version of Acer. What I encountered was old documentation of its features. I could not identify its new launcher icon and spent a lot of time trial and error. I had purchased what looked to be the most current version of Dummies for Chromebook, but it did not describe the layout as it appeared on my unit. I searched YouTube, but none of the videos described my machine. So I'm guessing the change occurred very recently. This guide has the current and correct launcher description and I would think all the current information. It's essential for using the Chromebook with information you need. Great bargain!

Outdated!
Guide is replete with wrong or outdated info. Does not give basics instruction. Eg. Click on "X" in upper-right, then do "other". There is no "X" icon in upper-right.Better to use online help or poke around to find info.

Good Guide, but not a Manual
I bought this to help us learn a completely different system. My wife has hated 8.1 from the beginning and has never mastered it. I have stuck with 7 and I can't help with 8.1. So, the guide is good, but Chromebook for Dummies is what we needed and we have found answers to everything we have asked.

Quick Resource
If you are new to Chromebook as I am, you need all the help you can get; after almost 40 years with DOS and Windows. This is a good source of six pages to help you get started. As an abbreviated document, it will not help you with the detail operation of the individual programs, you will need a more detailed resource such as "Chromebook for Dummies" - that is me! But you will find this a good resource for many months to come.

Very handy
Extremely useful and has much more than I've seen in other "cheat sheets". No need for a book.
