A dull read with subjective views on Floyd albums by people with no connection to Floyd
If you’re a diehard Floyd fan, you’ll find nothing new here. What this book offers is basically a bunch of random people offering opinions and theories on each Floyd studio album.Sort of along the lines of those crappy unauthorized “Inside” DVDs where talking heads blather on about bands with snippets of music quickly cut off because they had no music rights. This book is way better than that and it is nicely laid out, but it’s just subjective opinions and becomes very tedious. It is cool hearing Steve Hackett and Steven Rothery talk about the music a bit.Overall, an odd approach and not a very satisfying one.

Factual Information
I am a child of the 70’s. The first time I heard Pink Floyd I was between 12/13 years old. I had never experienced anything like it. Growing up to early Floyd was an never ending journey into the unknown. When Dark Side of the Moon came out there was a generation that ever looked at rock the same. How fortunate I was to have been apart of the height of an era consumed by “Pink Floyd”!This novel brings back that excitement. The little known facts of these iconic legends and the founding of a band like no other in existence, is all inside this book. Thank you to the authors for their efforts to present us lovers of “Floyd” a bit of the band.

Not just essential for fans of Floyd, but for music fans!
Martin Popoff's epic guide to Pink Floyd's albums is a brilliant read and well worth a purchase, not just for fans of Pink Floyd, but for music fans in general. From one of rock music's most legendary bands, prepare to be transported through half a century of so many diverse eras of Pink Floyd with 15 studio albums, from the early days led by Syd Barrett's songwriting, then a transition from psychedelic to progressive rock in the late 60s and early 70s - followed by Roger Waters' lyrical concepts in albums such as The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall, leading up to David Gilmour leading the band from 1985 to 1995 both in the studio and in concert, finally concluding with their final studio release the Endless River in 2014. Add to extraordinary interviews with both musicians and journalists about each of Pink Floyd's records, along with some brilliant photos of the band from the respective timeframe to go with the album review and discussion, and that adds to the quality of an incredible book. Well worth a purchase!

Really nice for people that are into Pink Floyd
I bought this for my secret Santa as she really likes Pink Floyd and she absolutely loved it. It is not something that a Pink Floyd fan would buy for themselves normally so as a gift it is a really nice option.

Bad Condition
This book arrived in terrible condition. The back appears to have a crease in it and there is a gash on the cover. It is for a gift and too late to return it. Super disappointing.
