Push The Button: 5th Anniversary Edition

Sexy, smart, and fun
Delightful! Beautifully written. Strikes the perfect balance between "believable" and "dreamy." David and Nicole are engaging characters you really root for; they are multidimensional people with nuance, and their characterization is consistent. That is, it feels like they remain fundamentally themselves even as they grow in their relationship and as individuals. The villain is genuinely menacing, and the stakes feel high for everybody. Anyway, it's just a really good, thoughtful, fun book. And the sex scenes are scorching hot, so. This book's kind of got everything. A+(I saw some Goodreads reviews complaining that the play described in Push the Button is unsafe, or that Nicole isn't "feminist" enough. I can see what they're getting at with the breath play thing, but that didn't bother *me*, personally, because this is a fantasy—not a manual of suggested best practices. But I see what they're saying. I don't even know how to respond to the reviewer who disliked it because the heroine isn't a feminist and only cares about what the hero wants. I feel like that's a really unfair characterization that falls pretty far from The Point. We get to "meet" Nicole at various points in her life, and while it's clear that living her version of a BDSM lifestyle is hugely important to who she is, there is still more to her: she has a career she cares about, other interests, and she's smart. I dunno. I probably shouldn't get wound up about what other people think, but...)

This book is way better than Fifty Shades of Grey
This book is way better than Fifty Shades of Grey. Both partners knew what they wanted from each other. There was no use of sex as a manipulation tool. Both Characters Nicole and David respected one another without a doubt. Feminista Jones wrote a great story that describes a alternative sex life, but the core values of a relationship are also present. Great book I recommend it with flying colors. As a reader you will not be disappointed. And most importantly it was well written by a professional writer.

Come for the sex, stay for the learning.
Excellent debut novel from Feminista Jones. The story gives a realistic view of the inside the BDSM D/s relationship from the point of view of a character that has accepted the submissive role and lives it, not like other stories that try to tell the story of a newcomer to The Life who is always unrealistically swept up in it. Fans of erotica will enjoy the sex scenes and those curious will learn from it. I look forward to this author's voice to continue telling its stories.

What the actual heck!
I'm so confused. So many things and feelings. Did I like the book? Yes. Though the format was strange. It was hard to determine when the shifts from present day to past happened until well into it. Was that on purpose? I'm glad it ended on a good note but man the road was rocky.

Heard that Part 2 might come out soon.. I hope.
Interesting, exciting and hot with a twist. Only thing is that is a part in there where the leading male character made a move or two that made me feel uncomfortable because the leading female character seemed genuinely afraid and forced. I guess you will see when you reach that part yourself and I will leave it to you to decide.

Writing this review on Tax Day 2015 and I must say I'm sorry I waited so long to but and read it. Had to get it from my girlfriend because she took too long with it and I'm glad I did ! Started it around 3pm today and finished about 8:30. Sorry I was late to the party but I'm glad I came ! This book was awesome....plot twists had me confused for a bit but just made for a better read. Great job Feminista Jones !!!

Very human characters. Very nice love story.
The book drew me in from the beginning and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I thought the characters were very humanized (something I find lacking in other books, especially when it comes to Dominants). I recommend the book highly!

Absolutely rubbish _ not worth the money or reading time!
This is by far the most disappointing book I've had the displeasure to read.Badly written; poor grammar, should have been better proofed.Very disappointed with the writer - expected with a name like feminists, this work to have been far more original, but not. Awful story, weak plot and not in the least bit sensual.Terrible depiction of women.Let's hope she doesn't attempt to write anything else in this genre.Awful!
