The author tweaked the story here and there and made it friendly for all ages. The illustrations are beautifully done. The cover is not like any book I've seen before, it's a hard cover but it's kind of soft. It's a thicker cover and it is "puffy". That's the only way I know to describe it. My son has a character parade at school right before Halloween. They are allowed to dress up and be in the parade but they have to be a character from a book and carry that book with them during the parade. My son wanted to be a wolf so I made him a costume and purchased this book. It is a book that can be passed on to my nieces and nephews when my son outgrows it. Definitely worth the purchase. Review: Timeless. Told well. - Bottom line: The story is told well, without being too gruesome. Pros: Good quality printing. Nice storytelling. Cons: The illustrations are a tad childish. My kids did not mind, though, and the book is very appealing nonetheless.

Hardcover and big, perfect
I didn’t expect it was a big book and l like it for my 6 years old. Hardcovers are a plus and l loved this particular classic story. Great purchase!

Great book
My son loved this book 5 years ago and my daughter ripped the pages at 3 I rebought it and it's one of her favorites. She loves the illustrations and it is so fun that she remembers the parts and says them with me.

Pages are safe for children, Book feels as good as it looks.
My 4 yr old artistic granddaughter loves this book so much I bought three more just like it by the same author. These books are colorful on each page, a nice touch to it and a great size. Her favorite is “The Gingerbread Man.” You will absolutely love these books for any toddler or young children.
