I have some distortion and high frequency loss. The loss came from when a doctor put a hypodermic needle through my left eardrum - to treat a Eustachian tube infection when I was about 9 years old. Over the years, distortion has built up to the point that, although I can hear, it's the distortion that makes it hard to understand, more and more.I've been through a number of these types of amplifiers, even ones whose frequency response can be programmed. This amplifier gives me the most pleasing sound of all, right out of the box. There's a lot of gain available; much more than I need, so batteries will last a long time. For the low price, I don't think you'll find a better buy. I hope they keep making this one.

I bought it for my mom She is 85 years old and is beginning to not be able to hear. Works pretty good when she uses it.

Lots of feedback. Hard to adjust to stop it. Sound was hollow with lots of static / background noise...just my experience

I’m not sure if mine is defective or it’s just poor quality. Background interference is way to much.

Horrible sound quality. Could hear tv better but a person's voice very distorted. Constant ocean background noise. One adapter not molded correctly. Volume control had a sticky spot.
