My regular foundation has been discontinued or replaced making it a good time to switch to something that’s more budget friendly. I decided to start with Cover Girl and have been pleased so far. I must say, it has been a bit of a challenge using a ‘real’ liquid foundation for the very first time (my regular was a powder crème). This is a squeeze style bottle applicator so don’t apply too much pressure or you’ll be watching a big droplet of product swimming on top of your sponge or fingertip that can’t be returned to the bottle (my 1st time). Thankfully, it’s a good size bottle to work with at 1 fl oz. The liquid is lightweight, odorless and spreads a long way. It’s super blendable, spreads on smooth and gives you good coverage. It’s quickly absorbed in the skin appearing natural without applying too many layers or having to supplement with another foundation. It also covers those tiny imperfections without clogging or caking up pores, and leaves my sensitive skin not looking shiny, feeling greasy, or irritated. The “classic tan” color is a little lite on the perfect match to my skin tone, but to be sure I may try the next color up. It’s always difficult finding that ‘sweet spot’ without spending a lot on trial & error. Overall, I’m actually tickled pink that I actually tried a new product for the first time based on a ‘visual’ observation, and lucked out with it being almost a perfect color match that doesn’t require a touch up by lunch time. I’m actually impressed by the quality and it probably explains why the brand has been around seemingly forever. I can’t say much on the packaging since there really isn’t any. On the other hand, it may explain why the price is budget friendly. Overall, it’s an improvement on my skin and I do look better with it, than without it. For the price of under $10 and size of the bottle with similar qualities of a high end boutique brand, this is a steal! 5 stars!

I ordered this for my mom. It is her favorite foundation. Great price and they have her shade she needs. I've ordered it more than once for her. It isn't sticky. It has good coverage. Great for dry skin. Good scent. Blends well. Effective. Like I said, she absolutely loves it.

I am very happy with this product which I have been ordering on line for a few years. Only these past two orders have not proved successful. My first order received the makeup was transposed into a runny liquid as apposed to the texture of a thicker creamy liquid. I returned the product for replacement and unfortunately I have received a new product with the same problem.

I purchased 2 pack and had to throw them away because this is nothing like the original Covergirl Smoother Foundation in Classic Tan that I used for many years. The texture is VERY WATERY with beads of oil floating in it like they took old used makeup bottles and added water. The lumps of oily stuff does not dissolve no matter how much you shake it. Don't waste your money! Now time to find a better quality foundation

Good coverage and consistency that blends well (I apply witha makeup sponge). The color is as expected and the foundation lasts all day. It's not irritating and feels good on my sensitive skin. Although it says it's hydrating, I find it a bit dry for my skin type, especially during the winter, so if you're like me, you might choose a more moisturizing option. That being said, it helped to use a good moisturizer prior to applying the foundation. The squeeze bottle is convenient, and helpful for preventing waste and spills. Overall, like any Covergirl makeup, this is a great product, and a good value.

This is the only makeup I like. Was glad to be able to get it here. The stores do not seem to stock it anymore. I had seen it for less money earlier and had it in my cart. It was gone before I could get it ordered. I wondered if it was out dated Goes on smooth and lasts through out your day. Color is perfect for me

I have used this foundation for years. I loved that it was lightweight but still gave enough coverage for my needs. Goes on smoothly and blends well. I knew exactly which color worked for me. Recently I went to buy some more and was horrified to find that it was no longer available. I went to several different stores, and couldn’t find it anywhere. I wasted a lot of money trying new brands and formulations, but they were either too heavy, too matte, or smelled bad. I couldn’t find a good color match, even when I selected the same shade in other Cover Girl foundations. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon! One thing that some people might find important…this foundation has no sunscreen. I use a moisturizer with sunscreen under the foundation, so that isn’t a problem for me.

I have been purchasing CG Smoothers for years and I love how lightweight it is, but the colour is still buildable. It's oil free and doesn't clog pores so it is great to mix with my other higher end oil free foundations to get my perfect shade as my summer tan fades or just to lighten the texture of thicker foundations (I mix mine with vichy dermablend in the tube). I like that it doesn't have a smell, it doesn't settle in lines or accentuate dry patches (in fact it's quite moisturizing). I will continue to buy this as long as they make it. As far as coverage goes I think you could build it up to an 8 or 9/10 as far as bad breakouts go, but it is more of a medium coverage foundation so you will need concealer or to mix it with something heavier if you have a lot of spots.
