Good Sun Protection.
This works, I was able to be outside most of the day in the sun and did not get sunburnt. It is lightweight and really doesn’t stop the wind, so it is not really hot to wear on a sunny day. Seems to work good even if wet. And dries reasonably quick. The hood keeps the sun off my neck. Only needed sunscreen on face and hands. Not quite five stars, but close enough to give it five. I bought two of these, one gray, the other light blue. Sizing is fairly accurate. Fits more like an under shirt as opposed to an outer shirt for a given size. May buy another.

Love the sun protection
I wanted a lightweight hooded shirt for sun protection while working outside. I knew I'd be getting it dirty, stained and at some point I'll probably rip it so I didn't want a super pricey performance oriented shirt from a major outdoor brand. This fit the bill perfectly. It works great in hot weather. It keeps me cool and my skin out of the sun while I'm trimming weeds, digging in the dirt, and clearing brush. I also have ended up using it on sunny runs and mountain bike rides (with the hood under a hat or helmet) and it fills the performance wear role pretty well too.Durability seems okay. There are lose threads on the seams but, like I said, I'm sure I'll destroy this shirt through abuse before that ever becomes an issue. I bought the size I usually wear which fits nice everywhere but the sleeves. Those are too short to comfortably fit my thumbs through the thumb holes but I do have long gorilla arms. Overall, I loved it so much I bought a second one.

Nice shirt, good value
Good value for the money. Normal fit, not billowy or too big. Nice fabric, a little thicker than similar versions by expensive brands. The hood is great for sun and fits over my hat. I wear mine kayaking, it’s nice to dip the shirt in the water when it’s hot, for some extra evaporative cooling.

Better than expected.
What a great bargain. This item met or exceeded every expectation. It is light, very comfortable and the fit is spot on. I got the Large and it is perfect for my 6'2" 180lb frame. I have a bit of a long torso but the length of the hoodie is not an issue. It is right on the money. If there is any issue is that due to the thin, lightweight nature of the fabric- it can be fairly revealing about various aspects of your body. So if you're carrying a few extra pounds, it really shows. I have the light grey, but I think a darker color would mute this issue if you are self-conscious in any way. No issues with durability so far. The stitching looks very good and I use it for hiking, disc golf and occasional mountain biking. I have not worn a Camel bak with it so I'm not sure if the fabric would wear out quicker due to friction with the pack. Anyway, I plan on ordering another since I'm so impressed.

The fit
The fabric is very soft and a significant decrease in burning from the sun.

Love this hoddy
Great sun protection, cool and good price. What else can one ask for. I've bought several BALAEF products now and have been pleased with them.

Arms are too short to use thumbholes.
I'm 5'10" and currently about 195#. Currently 38 inches by the tape where I put my waistbands, with a bit of a prednisone gut. I bought a large, and it's longer than I like in the torso while being too short in the arms to use the thumbholes. If I was any taller, it would be too short in the arms to even reach my wrists. The width is good over my chest and belly, not tight nor too loose--but compared to another gray sun shirt I bought at the same time in the same size, it's not flattering at all in the gut area. And since it doesn't have a drawstring, the hood isn't useful if there is much wind. The quality of material and stitching is fine, it's effective at sun protection where it covers you, and it wicks moisture well enough, but with four things I don't like about it I had to take two stars off. I'll keep wearing it and won't return it, so I'll let it have three stars, but it'll be the shirt I wear when the others are dirty, and I will not be buying another. Also, the shirt likes to retain body odor, but I think all of the sun shirts do that. Stay clean and use antiperspirant.

Light Weight
Husband loves this - light weight and full protection from the sun. He wears it on the lake and the tennis court.
