Excellent quality & value for money
I bought the single camera system and have also just ordered a 2-camera system because I’m that impressed! [single camera system no longer available on the Amazon UK site] Just to be clear; for those choosing a ‘wireless’ CCTV system; These particular Tonton models are Wireless RF and should not be confused with Wireless Wi-Fi. I.E. This system does not require a network and router to work, hence the term RF or Radio Frequency. This is exactly what I wanted. Each camera transmits the video [and 2-way audio] signal directly to the receiver module/screen. The receiver module can also be connected wirelessly via IP to a router - this is when a smartphone can be used to monitor the camera feed or view saved recordings etc and to receive motion alerts [alerts only received when smartphone is in the wi-fi or connected network vicinity]. Recordings are saved on the receiver module itself assuming the preinstalled 32GB is present. It really is an out of the box power up and use solution! I have tested the range and was really impressed with no signal loss at all within 10-20 metres through walls and floors. Good coverage was experienced up to at least 40 metres away and through some walls! The unit is very easy to operate. The receiver options are very intuitive and menu driven. The PIR motion sensor and infrared works very well. It’s possible to ‘mask’ unwanted areas viewed on any camera to avoid unnecessary alerts and recordings. The receiver screen can display up to 4 camera feeds split across the screen or any single camera feed full screen with just a finger-tap on the screen. It’s possible to tap and hold the screen microphone icon option too and speak with the audio being heard on a camera speaker, sound level is quite high and clear too with no distortion. There are options to ‘blank’ the screen after a period of time or leave on continuously. [when the screen is blanked the system continues to monitor/record etc.] When the screen is left on continuously, I have found that there’s no overheating at all and actually operates quite cool. Recordings are identified by each camera name [pre-configured] and stored in date and time format allowing recordings to be identified easily. Individual recordings can also be saved manually to an external USB when attached at the side. I have found that the supplied 32GB storage has been ample with the one camera system during recent moderate use (i.e. 10’s of daily recordings) I am yet to test how long the receiver will remain powered on [when used on a fully charged battery] but so far have achieved a couple of hours. The receiver has a handy pull-out stand too for resting the system at in an upright angle. The camera is powered by a low voltage mains power adaptor, so bear this in mind when positioning but it’s worth mentioning that low voltage power extension leads are also available. The camera and receiver are well made and quite robust with expectations to last! The only negatives I’ve found are when activating the screen once it’s gone into standby mode [blanked screen] and/or when moving from split screen to full screen as just tapping the screen is not precise and I’m still working through this bit! There doesn’t appear to be any screen brightness or contrast controls which is not exactly a problem [yet] but it would be useful having the facility to at least dim the screen slightly at times.Overall though I would highly recommend this product!

Simplicity itself
I've been struggling lately to get a security system to suit my purpose of avoiding web based set up, SIM card use or the need for setting up WiFi just for this purpose. I've no idea why most manufacturers use such designs because they are fallible to fail in a number of ways. However, this set up by Tonton is a great improvement on all those over-complicated systems. It comprises of its own WiFi loop that needs no additional costs or wrangling set up nonsense over the internet. You simply switch on the camera and nvr and it's up and running, seconds after unpacking. I didn't expect the WiFi to have much power as needed to get through/past two 2' thick stone walls of my old cottage to reach the camera I located on an outbuilding 50' away, so was expecting to need an extender. However that was unnecessary because there was ample strength of signal to do this, and the neat 7" screen showed a crisp clear image of the pathway leading to the house. I made one error in set up by accidentally setting a period when the camera would record (and hence one where it would not!) I soon figured out I was trying to view it at a time I'd set for it to be off (I suppose it saves space on the memory card if you set it not to record while you're at home). It's now set to record continuously as I've not the best of memories so can do without all that faffing about. But you have also the option of recording only when human movement is detected by the camera but on the continuous record I can catch any animal that strays into view by day or night. As you can imagine, loving in a rural place lots of interesting creatures are about at night so it'll be a bonus to see what comes to visit. The camera has 3m pixels so gives excellent clarity by day or night. So if you want a hassle -free security system with no additional costs associated with SIM cards or special WiFi setup, this is the system and manufacturer to choose. I only bought a one-camera set up so as to try it first, but it's so good I'm definitely going to but two or three more because these can all be added to the NVR seamlessly using it's split screen feature. A really amazing system and I highly recommend it.And by the way, if you're determined on a mobile phone access to the camera or use of the internet for the system app, that's all also available to you with this kit!

Good kit but documentation isn't
The equipment is OK if it wasn't for the instructions I'd have given it 5. Support emails (presumably from China) were helpful and quick, but it still took a lot of messing around to get the display working as it should be.

Very impressed
We had an old wireless system previously that covered our property. This was a replacement and are very impressed. Easy to set up and picture quality incredible. PIR night vision exceptional. We have just suffered Criminal damage on our farm and can view across the entire front fields at any time which are some 500m from the highway. One camera is inside and sat on a window ledge to cover a public footpath that runs through our land. The alarm function is brilliant.NOT connected to the internet as our connection is very poor so cant comment on that function. Would serious consider the upgrade to a10 camera system in the future.

Good system, with good after sales.
This tonton camera system is easy to use once you get the hang of things, it requires quite big holes to get the cable through, I also had to purchase 2 extension cables as I struggled to reach sockets. One thing I didn't like, using 2 camera's it still shows 4 segments, it would be better just showing the 2 your using, you see the images of the 2 camera's your using plus two blank segments, the system works well and I really like it, a power adaptor packed in on one camera, contacted tonton, there was some confusion and a delay sending the replacement, I thought This was poor after sales care, but have since had a few e-mail's explaining why there was a breakdown in communication, So I'm now changing my opinion, I'm happy to report I have since received my adaptor, I am now a very happy customer, a good system, and like many others have to report a good caring after sales service, so thank you Milly and the tonton team.
