Easy and fast.
My John Deere is the 3rd garden/lawn tractor i have owned in the last 30 years. I always maintain my tractors with regular maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer. This system makes changing the oil and filter a breeze .

Easy but expensive
This is definitely the quickest and easiest oil change that you'll ever do, I don't think there was even any spilled oil that I had to wipe up. As with most things in life there's a trade-off and in this case it's the price. Up to you to decide if it's worth it or not.

John Deere AUC12916 Oil filter
This is a great site to order from. This was my second purchase from them. Exact OEM filter. I change mine every two years or 50 hours. I change the oil in the crankcase every year. If you think this quick change 30 second oil filter is all you need to change you are sadly mistaken. There is still 2 quarts of dirty oil in the crankcase. Purchase a 3/4" x 4" steel or brass pipe nipple along with a 3/4" pipe cap and change the oil like it should be. The 3/4" pipe plug that comes with this Briggs & Stratton mower is a joke. You will destroy your engine if you only change the filter and of course that is what they want you to do anyway so you will have to purchase another mower.
