I'll give it five stars the material looks fine and the elastic fits over the recorder I have not done any live recordings yet I will soon, and if it sounds good I can maybe leave it update. I don't expect anything high-end or luxurious just do the job that it was made for.

I got this windscreen because, while recording music outdoors recently on a breezy day, I had to delete all the recordings on my Tascam DR07x because each breeze quieted the recording down to inaudible levels.I used the screen today for the first time, also on a breezy day, and had no loss of audio quality! I play outdoors in a circle of about 20' diameter with fiddles, banjoes, guitars, mandolins, dulcimers, and a penny whistle, and the sound is very good and has no loss of quality due to the many breezes. The screen has allowed me to record our music and save it so others can sample it and play along with it for practice. It's a definite game-changer for me!

Slightly Larger than I had hoped for, but it Fits "OK"... and doesn't seem to want to fall off.

Needlessly worried about the tight fit from the reviews but not a problem and an absolute necessity for outdoor use, there's always wind in the Bay Area!

I bought this windscreen way too long after getting my recorder. It should've been something I bought with it, but I cheaped out at the time. After using the recorder on a couple windy days and having pretty much unusable audio, I finally smartened up and bought the muff. The first day I used it was while getting content at an airport and it worked like a dream. Audio was clear as a bell. It's even made my indoor audio better and clearer. Can't stress enough that if you are going to get a portable recorder or microphone, make sure you purchase a windscreen along with it so that you don't have to deal with bad audio.

This fits on the Tascam DR-40x but only with the default XY pattern. Unable to fully extend to the AB pattern. Opened to the AB pattern before placing on and it forces them closed. Then tried to open them to AB after the windscreen was on, but could only extend one of the microphones. Disappointed as this is a good product for models with only the XY configuration.

This wind screen fits perfect with either mic position and does not interfere with any buttons.Seller ships quickly with good tracking info too. I recommend this product from this seller.

It works but with that being said it is a pain in the butt to get on and slips right off if you’re not careful, and you pull out a bunch of fuzz / hair just trying to get it on for the price it does the job
