Great Reloading Bench Addition
This is one kick butt powder trickler. It's solid as a rock, meaning well made and heavy. It has a good height that works well with most powder scales and is easy to use. I'm using it for my rifle reloads and this trickler will drop whatever powder you are using and do it very precisely. I use mostly stick powders for my rifle loads and it will drop as little as one stick at a time. Frankford Arsenal did a great job on this trickler and at a very good price. I'm not sure how I managed without one.

Could not ask for more from a trickler!
With over 1200 positive reviews on here I felt sure I would find answers to my specific questions, but to my disappointment, I did not. So...Yes, this is an amazingly accurate dispenser. How accurate? My high quality digital powder scale reads to one place to the right of the decimal (tenths). I have not seen many scales less than several hundred dollars with a higher resolution. That said, this trickler would be accurate enough to read to hundredths no doubt. As I load only pistol calibers, I used this item extensively with Winchester W244 ball powder and Hodgdon CFE pistol, HP-38 and Titegroup. All these powders differ slightly, some fine and powdery like Titegroup and some chunkier like HP-38. It worked great with all of them.I was a little miffed to see the product came with no instructions whatsoever; but then, it is fairly self-explanatory. Fill with powder above the metering rod (the horizontal bar you turn to dispense powder), then spin the rod until powder begins to trickle out of the end. It does take a bit of spinning to fill the worm thread that carries the powder down the rod There are what I consider a "coarse" and a "fine" knob on the rod end opposite the dispensing end. The larger diameter knurled knob is coarse while the rubber covered smaller diameter knob would be the fine. Using what I will call "blips" applied to turn the knob will yield approximately the following, differing slightly from powder to powder:- Two blips of the coarse knob (about one full revolution of the rod) will dispense one tenth of a grain, while four blips of the fine knob (also one revolution of the rod) will yield the same amount.I use a dipper to get close to my charge target in the scale pan, then trickle to the target charge. Dead accurate. Now, I don't always charge pistol ammo manually, but I just got a $600 Garmin chronograph (love it) and decided to do a broad spectrum high precision test load lot of 9mm, .38 Special and .44 Magnum loads to see just how consistent I can get velocities. This endeavor, while painful, would have been excruciating difficult without this trickler.Only one negative: Once you're done loading and want to clean up or change powders, quite a bit of powder remains in the lower half of the trickler reservoir no matter how much you shake and tap. The only remedy I've found is to remove the metering rod and wash the reservoir out followed by a thorough dry. I even tried swabbing it out with alcohol to lower surface tension and allow the powder to be dumped out, but no cigar. I'll live with it.I use Lee reloading products almost exclusively and have for 34 years, but this trickler joins my Frankford Arsenal dry tumbler and priming tool, and all are of the highest machine quality and flawless function. Can't go wrong and the price is more than fair.

Prefect for the mid to hobby size loader.
First off I have a 300$ auto dispenser that weighs most of my charges but after 2 years the trickle feature stopped working so I bought this to do exactly what it is designed to do, trickle powder. I was when my pricey dispenser was working right finding it would some times trickle a a little too much so having the ability to control the last few grains of powder in my control I really like that. This is a simple tool and it just works. Whether you are hand loading several 100 shells or just a dozen this helps keep the weight consistent and I find myself using a speed loader and this over my pricey unit.

Very accurate, well made, heavy and great value
What I liked is it trickles 1 kernel at a time, what I didn’t like was 1 kernel at a time. Make sure your powder dropper is within .2-3 grains and this thing works perfectly. I highly recommend this trickler

Get Yourself One of These!
I'm VERY impressed with this powder trickler. It's beefy and heavily weighted to prevent tip-overs.It seems that the folks at Frankford Arsenal really looked at powder tricklers and what the consumer wanted. There is a significant rubber (called synthetic) cap that can be used as a cover for the base, or as a cap to prevent spillage if powder is stored in the trickler. There is also a cap of the same material, to cover the end of the dispensing tube, again to prevent spillage in storage. In use, it's stored on the end of the knob. The unit is heavily weighted at the base - feels like lead weight, but the bottom is smoothly finished in the same material as the body of the trickler. I didn't weigh it but the ship weight was well over a pound. By contrast, the ship weight of the Hornady trickler (plastic) is 3.2 ounces! The knob is nicely knurled and a good size. The unit stands 4 inches high and is about 1 5/8 inches in diameter. The tube extends a little over 2 inches.I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a great powder trickler. It's well worth the price compared to lesser models, some even made of plastic. It would take quite an accidental bump to knock this baby over and s
