check your old unit for bugs !
The product installs fine, and works so far. If you are replacing a model that has an open relay (this one is closed), do check it for bugs that decided to crawl between the electromagnet and the contact bar. You may not have to replace it after all ! Do not forget to switch off power to the unit, set the cooling off (so that no power comes to the relay , even if it is only 24VAC) before you remove the old unit for 'debugging'.

Not same as old type, better!
I was skeptical of this product,as it lacks the test button on the contactor, however, it works great and the contact point is enclosed so that debris cant fowl out the switch....technically it's better than the original.

Updated replacement
Updated version of the original. Fits right on and worked out great! Couldn't be easier to replace.

Garbage
I replaced my original as preventative maintenance to improve unit reliability (on recommendation of a service professional). The original part had performed flawlessly for many years. This one lasted for 7-months before the magnet fell apart and it began to fail intermittently during heating season. The contacts were also badly pitted. I assumed it was anything but this new part, slowing the repair. Went to the local HVAC part store and purchased a quality part from a local company for $20. Wish I had done that the first time.

wouldn’t work ~
my old connector was showing some wear so i ordered this to replace , looks identical installed ac unit wouldn’t work , checked all connections still wouldn’t work , reinstalled old unit and worked ?
