Tropical Carmen Miranda Latin Lady Fruit Headpiece Hat Costume Accessory

I thought this would be fun to give to a girlfriend who was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She has the funnybone to carry it off, so I'm happy to have received it so promptly and exactly as described and shown.

If you're in a crunch, and need a fake fruit hat in two days, then yes. Pay the $21.99 and Amazon will deliver you a barely-adequate fake fruit hat. Ho ho ho, now you've got some plastic fruit on your head at the office party, Mr. Funny Guy. At least you tried, unlike Kelly who just wore a bike helmet.Freaking Kelly.Me? I'm going to go buy some more fake fruit and a hot glue gun and really load this hat up, because it's just not FUNNY ENOUGH with the paltry display of apples, grapes, and a wimpy single banana that it currently has.I won't go out in public with this on, and I'm certainly not going to depend on it to help my family find me after the Yellowstone Supervolcano erupts, or the US has an all-out nuclear exchange with Canada, or a dino-killer asteroid knocks the moon into the Gulf of Mexico, or whatever fresh test of my Xanax-soaked nerves 2020 manages to come up with.Three stars. Will put together with a blouse & colorful skirt for a Carmen Miranda outfit for a costume party. I think it will be fabulous!

I needed a costume that would be easy to put on and this really fit the bill. The banana being cut in half showed the white styrofoam inside, but I glued a fabric fold over it so it wouldn't show and it was just fine. The fabric was mostly a red background rather than as shown in the picture, but color was not a problem for my outfit. The description DID mention that the fabric might vary from that shown in the picture.

Cute and fun for a party

The hat fits well, although it could use more height. Perhaps the addition of a pineapple or some plumes or greenery.

This piece was fine for my purposes (childrens show). Lightweight and colorful. Very small on the head, which works for children.
