We were looking for a multi-game box of some sort that included checkers and chess, this one also has backgammon which was a plus as our old backgammon game has some missing pieces, rendering it unplayable. It also comes with Chinese checkers which is a fun addition and poker dice? Which I’ve never even heard of nor know how to play. That doesn’t detract from it in the slightest, just another bonus that I’ll have to figure out sometime. The quality of the box and pieces seem really good. The stitching of the leather looks nice and has held up this far, it’s all contained in a reasonably sized package and works very well. My only complaint is about the marbles, while they’re actual glass marbles, the quality of the marbles does seem to bit more lacking than the rest of the package contents. The glass has blemishes and lacks the clarity I’d expected with glass marbles. It isn’t a deal breaker and doesn’t justify taking away a star for me, just something I noticed and was surprised by because the quality of everything els seems really great. But overall I can’t complain. There were no missing pieces and everything is intact and works well. Product is as described and I would purchase again in the future if needed.

If you want a portable, compact, wooden chess set, this may be the only one you find on Amazon—luckily it’s a high-quality product. Both board and pieces are wooden and the magnets are strong enough to get the job done holding the pieces in place. The board does not fold, which is an aesthetic plus, as far as I’m concerned; this set was not designed for travel with a game in progress. Perhaps best of all, each player has a pull-out drawer for general storage and for keeping captured pieces in tow. The 10-inch size is perfect for seeing the game without taking up too much space on your desk, your tabletop, or whatever limited space you may be using. The only way I can see that this set could be improved is if it included extra queens for promotion, but that’s a minor issue. If the 10-inch dimensions meet your needs, don’t hesitate to buy this set.

The design of the games are great. The storage to fit all the games is adequate for them all. It is very sturdy and the playability is great.

This was a Christmas gift for my grandsons. I have one for me as well that they always take out when they visit. This is a great little set for traveling. I also like the closing device on this one. Some of the others had knobs which I thought might get damaged easily.

This board is phenomenal! This is my 2nd (lost the first). Would buy it 1000 out of 100 times. Truly, a good product and at a practically ridiculously low price. The magnets are strong enough to hold the board upside down and no pieces fall off, yet not so strong its inhibiting to smooth, comfortable play. Seriously a rock solid product at a crazy low cost. Thoroughly recommended. I will own this board for the rest of my life. 10 inches, compact, good for travel and still big enough for serious games without feeling crunched for space in the least. Big fan. Buy it.

We purchased this kit to keep us busy in isolation. It has definitely done the trick. Although a little pricey for the quality (the quality itself is not the best) it is sturdy and kid friendly. I have four kids, ages four through 13, and they are not generally gentle with games. So far we’ve had the game for a week and it has withstood them. I did have to file down a spot on one of the chess pieces that was making it stand off-center. The construction of the boards themselves is very sturdy, and although I probably could have put together the dice and cards and dominoes for less, having it all in one place for one price was pretty handy. If you are looking for a high-quality set of boards, this probably isn’t it. But if you were looking for something that will withstand daily use from multiple kids, I definitely recommend.
