about as good as it gets. I was looking for a metric only tape measure and saw this one on Amazon. It took a while to receive because it was shipped from Japan but it was worth the wait. The quality surpasses any that I've owned by Stanley, Lufkin, Craftsman, et al. The belt clip is unique but highly functional. This is my new go-to tape measure. I got tired of working with fractions and switched to metric, except when having to use dimensional lumber for some things, this is the way to go (metric) especially for metal work projects and other construction uses.

I like the accuracy and the look. The steel in the tape is just as good as any high end measuring tapes. Definitely quality.However, the description does not say one must attach the tape to a belt. What should one do when wearing an overcoat, or a carpenter's vest, or an apron. I guess japanese finish carpenters/millworkers wear belts at all times... .The manufacturer should offer the same tape without the plastic belt hook system, which is not ideal for practical uses. I modified it to get what I want and used my way.

Because science. The belt clip is kinda goofy. The red numbers denote imperial Japanese “feet” still apparently used in carpentry in Japan.

Its exactly you need hands down. All its missing is an aluminum belt clip instead of the plastic one provided for added durability.

Looking at the website, it clearly shows inches and even says on the description. To my surprise, when opening the bag, the tape was in CM units. Had to return it.
