This is a wonderful product. It is easier to use than other henna products with consistent results. I can adjust the shade by adding to it with some of the chestnut colored henna. My hair has never looked so good.

Mountain High Light Red henna recreates my childhood hair color! I brew a short cup of strong chamomile tea, add a splash of apple cider vinegar and an equal splash of castor oil, then a few tablespoons of the henna powder. I whisk it up and leave it thick, because when the lumps are gone I add a lot of a cheap conditioner, almost equal to the tea amount. I whisk that into a thick yogurt consistency, then apply it all over. I use a hairdresser's dye applying brush to do the edges all around first, making sure I get plenty on the ear and front hairline. Then a thick blob on my part, worked in with the brush. Then I slap handfuls on my crown and work out from there to cover it all. I give it a good massage then wrap plastic wrap all over, covering the pesky ear parts where the gray can pop through. I wrap it all in an old soft beach towel and hang out for about an hour and a half until I can't stand it another minute. A nap on the beach is perfect for letting it soak in. Then I rinse it. It rinses easily. I wash it twice, condition, curl milk, scrunchy thing, and that's what I get. I love it.

First off, I am a first time user of Henna. My hair is unprocessed hair that has a variety of different tones , ( grey, dark blonde, and red ) and I am very impressed. It took almost a week for it to oxidize but the color is fantastic and looks NATURAL. This will color grey hair - it will look quite orange at first but give it a week and it will be the lightest red. My hair looks and feels very healthy and I highly recommend this. I followed the instructions, used plain yogurt to make it smooth and a flax seed cap for warmth for two hours. I am a month in and my hair is the softest it has ever been.

I've used this product for years. I like the Light Mountain light red color because it just enhances my natural red hair color. The bright red and auburn are beautiful, too, and I've used those on occasion in the past, but I am not seeking a strong dramatic red color. I like more of a, well, light red. This henna is mixed with cassia, a blond color. This product is certified USDA organic, which is important to me. It mixes easily, with few clumps, and is the best henna for the price as far as I am concerned. I really recommend it.

I use this to dye my hair, I use it every couple weeks to touch up my greys and it works great. Going on 5 years using it!

This was my first time doing my hair with henna! Watched a bunch of videos& tried it out!I have naturally light Auburn hair so didn't want full red.(ABSOLUTELY NO METAL TOUCHING YOUR HENNA MIX! Not the bowl, not the spoon, not a spatula. NO metal... Use plastic or wood. Used a metal electric teapot to boil the tea& that was ok).Used chamomile tea+ lemon juice instead if water. Put enough of the tea+ lemon to make cake batter consistency.Let mix rest 3h (covered with syran wrap). Did test swatches from hairbrush hair.Let mix sit on my head (covered with shower cap) for 45m. (Got beautiful color payout just from that long but thinking maybe longevity of color might be shorter because of shorter contact time with head/ hair?)(Next time will try longer... Probably an hour or an hour& a half depending on how long this color lasts with swimming in a chlorinated pool nearly every morning).LOVING the color I got! I think I'll be using this specific henna dye for the rest if my life! VERY pleased! 😁

i use this on my hair. of the brands that i've tried light mountain is my favorite!. it's not gritty, and rinses out more easily that other brands. it's not difficult to mix, either. the color is consistent from batch to batch.
