Versatile and sturdy.
The media could not be loaded. Works great. Mounts in a few orientations which I like. I like the lips up for my use case but can be mounted flat side up lips down, also front to back can be changed. Sturdy. The bracket screws are soft so be careful tightening but each one comes with an extra just in case. Comes with all hardware clips and bolts.

These are absolutely fantastic for the price point
Other reviews that say holes didn't line up or it's a pain to assemble are either outdated or incorrect. All the holes line up perfectly, and if you can't turn 8 little screws to assemble a shelf, you don't need to be in the same building as rackmount equipment. These shelves are rigid once assembled, feel like they can support at LEAST 20-30 lbs each if attached to the rack properly. They are an absolute steal at 34 dollars shipped.

Good Shelf, But Needed Some Modification To Fit
I needed a shelf to hold a few smaller network appliances in my server rack, and this one appeared to fit my needs. The shelf itself meets the needs just fine, more than strong enough to support the small add-in gear I need it to hold anyway.But...The rack rails I'm using are already threaded for the mounting screws, with the tapped holes on standard spacing for equipment. The little mounting brackets for the shelf have the slots for the rack screws at 1.5" spacing, where a standard 1U fitment uses holes at 1.25" spacing. This may or may not be a problem if you are using a slotted rack frame and clip-in nuts, vs. the already-threaded rails in the rack I use.For me, it was just a bit of work with the shelf brackets in a vise in the workshop, and some careful work with a small rat-tail file to widen the slots in the face about .125" (one eighth of an inch) each towards each other, effectively getting to the correct spacing for 1U equipment.Once the slots were opened up, the whole shelf unit slid right in and we were off to the races.Measure the available space in your rack and the available fastener spacing in each rail. If you can get to 1.5" screw spacing, no modifications will be needed. If you have only the standard 1.25" for 1U, plan on that little bit of modification to the shelf mounting ears. The pieces are shipped loose for field assembly, so it's quick and easy to hold one up to your rack rails and even do a trial fit with just the brackets to make sure they will work in the rack you have.

Solid 10" depth shelf for 19" rack
For what it is, 10" shelf depth to mount in a 19" rack, it's a good shelf. Wish I'd had more experience with racks before ordering - I would have passed. I bought the 10U open frame rack from Echogear and these just didn't go back far enough for my liking. Unfortunately, I bought these nearly 3 years ago and JUST got around to installing May 2025. I'll use as filler to sell the older Startech 4U rack. They'll fit great in it.Nothing wrong with the product, good build, just not a great fit for my needs as I've learned what my needs are.

Perfect . Strong, adjustable, priced right
The reviews that lament the assembly required are missing the point that the these are adjustable. It’s not one size fits all. No. The shelf can be installed with retaining edges up, or as a flat smooth surface. The rack ears can be attached in a few different ways to accommodate myriad different equipment sizes. Or just install them to make the shelf look and behave like the more expensive competitors that don’t adjust. Light, rigid, vented.Highly recommend, I hope I can find these again someday if I need rack shelves

Must be constructed as directed
I needed these for my 19” Hardigg Shockrack 16RU case. I tried building/installing them upside down to work more like a tray rather than a shelf. After some trial and error I installed them as directed all worked well.
