Tips for making it easy to work with
I have had incredible results with this. I had a lot of streaks and scratches from wipers on a 2005 Mercury Montego.I had used cerium oxide before, and it can be a very messy job. But you can make it less messy. When you mix the cerium oxide with water it splashes everywhere and it dries very quickly and it needs moisture every 30 seconds.I decided to mix it with car polish, which prevents it from drying too fast. I added a bit of water too.I used a 6-in polisher at 2000 speed, and just added every minute very little water directly on the pad. Then just go back and forth, back and forth. 45 minutes for the entire windshield and it looks like new.

Instructions would have been nice
All the described parts are here, but typically a "kit" would include some sort of guidance on using the equipment. Never polished glass to remove scratches before - I will have to look elsewhere to find out how to do it properly.

It takes time to see effect; press it and run it on high
Lost a star so far due to the drill bit missing, but in terms of the powder:- Mix in water slowly. It should give you a sour cream/slightly more liquid than toothpaste texture (I forgot where I read it).- It takes time. Like at least an hour to even see improvement.- Use water spray almost every minute as it dries fast.- Put your grease in. Instead of slow speed + gentle pressure with sandpaper, I put it on the highest speed with more pressure to see better results (taking rests every 20 minutes)- And yes, I am seeing improvements now on a large panel of scratched storm window (caused by my stupidity with low-grit sandpaper thanks Internet)

Not worth the money
The seller should not be allowed to sell a product with ABSOLUTELY NO INSTRUCTIONS WHATSOEVER. I read a few user comments but that is far from a real set of instructions. WHAT A WASTE OF MY MONEY AND EFFORTS. I would return it for a refund but I used part of it, so I guess that's out of the question.

Works well if you know what you're doing
I had several very fine scratches in a new windshield that were very distracting when they caught the sun. Safelite informed me that they no longer buff out scratches because new vehicles have such thin glass and buffing can overheat the vinyl layer in windshields. So I decided to do it myself, being careful not to spend too much time on any one spot.Afte the first 15 minutes of buffing with my drill, I saw no results. After that, I applied quite a bit more pressure and, after another 20 minutes, the scratches were gone. Just keep spraying the Cerium Oxide with water to keep it moist, move back and forth and up and down slowly, and press very firmly. If your arms aren't getting tired, you're not applying enough pressure. (This applies to strong glass as in a car windshield, not delicate glass that could break from the pressure).

It takes looong time and patience
It’s definitely work, but it took about 5 hours for windshield and I’m gonna repeat it again for more satisfying resultIt’s definitely removes not deep scratches, if you can feel scratch by your nail it’s to deep, you can make it better, but deep scratches supposed to sand by sanding paper before polishing, but it’s kinda complicated if you don’t have experienceSome tips from me:1. Mix powder with water, it thickness should be like sour cream2. Apply this compound on working area and use drill for buffing (the same like car polishing, you can watch tutorials on YouTube)3. Spray water on glass and add more compound if needed, it’s drying very fast, spraying water is require (if buffing disc start jumping that means surface is too dry or not enough compound)

Removed pretty large scuffs in very little time.
My wiper failed to jump some tiny road gravels and instead pushed them in an arc down my wind shield leaving a large 2-inch-wide scuff. The very beginning of it was in the edge of the windshield and was deep enough to feel with your fingernail shallowing as it progressed right thru the viewing area. Just watch a few you tube videos to see how to fix this and everyone was using Cerium Oxide Powder. This kit had everything but the drill included in the kit and was inexpensive. I was able to remove 100% of the scuffs and 98% of the deep gouge outside the viewing area. Looks like about 2 repairs left in the kit for the future.

It’s alright
Some scratches need a second coat . It stained my windshield rubber at the wipers. Overall I’d give it a 60% at getting rid of scratches on glass. I had several all over my windshield bc someone used an sos pad to try to get overspray off.It is easy to use make sure the buffer is set to low so you don’t bounce.
