This is easy to read yet profound. Easily applicable changes in the work and home life environments.
This is a concise, profound, and healing source for changing one's perception of themselves. I will keep this book readily available for reference as it helps to stop the destructive cycle of " stinking thinking". Empowering tool for self-compassion and personal growth. Extremely helpful in team building within the workplace.

Powerfully life-changing concept, but the storytelling lets it down!
Do yourself a favour and read this book. It's a fast read and has the potential to transform how you create your reality. A reality that makes you happy and the best you could be.The storytelling is weak, but explicit because of it. I guess the plus in the storytelling part is that it makes the gist of the DDT and TED dynamic very simple to understand. You can't miss the details...This is a MUST read.

Good Reminder for Self-Improvement
Great book. Lost my copy a long time ago and wanted a good refresher. Great reminder to have compassion for those living in a victim mentality and great reminder continuously be a learner.

Caution: This Will Lead You to More Joy, More Inner Peace
In the movie Ground Hog Day, the main character (played by Bill Murray) remains stuck in a repetitive cycle until he learns the lesson he is meant to learn. My own life felt that way for so many years. After having been stuck in it for over 30 years of my career, and as I began to actively self-observe, I began to finally see the pattern and even started to get inklings of how to get out of it. Yet the way out still remained unclear. That was until I came across The Power of TED which showed me clearly the way out of the maze. Thank you TED (AKA David). This book along with Language and the Pursuit of Happiness by Chalmers Brothers and The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz (3 of my favorite books) have had a significant positive influence on my personal transformation. Of course reading them alone won't do. I have had to, and still continue to, actively work with the material to apply it to me--the only person I can change and it is I who needs to change. These materials though are deceptively simple, but not easy. And yet the efforts are well worth it, if you desire more joy, greater inner peace, stronger relationships, and better outcomes. In-terms of my own journey of learning, growth, and development, it's all still work in progress. The good thing is thanks to this work, it's moving in the positive direction. Thank you David, Chalmers, and Don for having such a positive influence on my life.Vinay KumarGreat Falls, Virginia, USA

Ok Self Improvement Book
I read this book for book club. I thought it was about TED talks when it was chosen, but it’s really a simple self help book. The Empowerment Dynamic (TED) takes a lot of parts of several psychological theories, gives it a catchy name, and distills it down to a handful of pages. I think the beneficial part is that it’s easy to understand and told in a narrative that’s more like a story than a textbook. Maybe because I have a background in psychology and counseling, I didn’t think anything in the book was life changing but it did have things I felt I could apply to my life. I think it’s a good book if you’re feeling stuck in your life and need some help processing what to change. I think it’s overly simple and maybe a tad patronizing for people experiencing the effects of trauma or mental health issues. I think it’s good on a life coaching level but maybe not so much in a mental health disorder. But everyone connects with everything differently so if you get something out of it great. If you don’t, based on the other reviews here, you’re probably not alone. Check out the book from your library before you buy it.
