This thing works great! Lights up and is easy to use. Has a little light on it that helps sometimes when you’re inside a furnace and need a little bit of light accurate measurements. Intuitive use does everything I needed to do and is inexpensive has a nice case and nice leads Just used it today several times and I’m impressed. The values fluctuate a little bit when you first connect it but give it a second or two and it will settle down and match even your fluke or fieldpiece meters. That is the only drawback that I see is it takes a second or two for it to settle down and read . It is small and lightweight in direct sunlight. It is a little hard to read, but if you turn it out of the sun and hit the backlight, everything is fine.

The meter has all the curerent and voltage measuring capability most people need.Well made and despite a negative comment or two about the quality of the test probes, the pair in my set are very high quality. I would definitely buy it again.

The most negative thing about the unit is that it is not a Kiaweets but looks like it except for the name tag, seems to function like the latter, and the instructions seem to be the same. The pictures on Amazon are a little misleading as they only show HT208D without the full name. So, for $59 for the Habotest versus $89 for the Kiaweets, it seems like a bargain for the casual user. For the components I checked, it works fine and seems to be accurate. The instructions say to remove the batteries for extended storage. The good news is that if the unit is in the OFF position, it does not draw any power. So the only issue would be if the batteries leaked. However, it the unit auto-powers off, the unit consumes about 18 uA. So, leaving the batteries in the unit for months would drain them if auto-powered off. The display is hard to see in bright light. No indication of the warranty for the Habotest. Good value from what I could see.

Have used this meter on a lot of projects and would highly recommend. I have used on my boat,boat trailer work trailer,solar projects and home. Just a good trustworthy meter.

I received a non-working item.I placed the batteries in and moved the dial, but nothing. I replaced the batteries to double-check that it wasn't the battery issue. Still didn't turn on.I'm returning this broken item for a refund.Edit 07/02/24:I’m giving the product 5 stars. I decided to go with a replacement instead of returning it.The replacement works as it should and was easily swapped by Amazon/Seller.

I love all the different features it has.it fells good ib my hands but the meter is unusable outside where 99% of my word is done

Nice little unit that is reasonably priced and is decently built. Shipping was very fast. I got it to find parasitic drain on my truck. It was pulling over 2 amps which explained why my 2 amp trickle charger wouldn’t turn green even after being connected for 3 days. Traced to a faulty ignition switch. After replacing the switch it only shows a drain of about 30 milliamperes which is acceptable. Charger now shows green. The only thing I wish it had was another scale for amperage that brought it down to 3 decimals. It’s a little tricky on the 60 scale. You definitely have to zero. Other than that all other functions seemed to be quite accurate. Works well for my needs.

Just received this and tested it and found the thermostat out by 1 degree. tested the a/c probes against a fluke multimeter and found the same readings and very similar readings on the a/c amp clamp. this is a great product so far for the price, hopefully it will last the test of time.

Very good quality. Pretty precise at measuring DC current, definitely down to 0.1A DC. I did not have the time to test for smaller values but that is good enough for what I need to do. Some are complaining that the leads are cheap! Good leads cost 20$ so one should not expect that at that price point. The leads are as good if not better that any multi-meter you would pay 75-100$ in a store. You MUST reset the current reading just before clamping the thing on a wire, then it is pretty accurate (so bad review about accuracy are wrong).
