Favorite aspects in no particular order : consistent brew / flavor : the carafe does not drip or spill when pouring a cup of coffee : the recess on the sides (picture with arrow) makes it easy to pick up and move the unit : spare / repair parts are available for just about every piece so this unit will last a long time, not that I anticipate needing spare or repair parts : the hopper that holds the grinds is flat on the bottom so it can be placed on a counter top while adding coffee groundsNot so favorite aspects: capacity - nothing to do with this unit as is because I knew what I was buying, but it would be nice to have a unit that was the same height (14") and could make 10-12 6oz cups. This makes 10 4oz cups. : note that with a full pot the little funnel that extends down from the lid into the carafe will spill coffee over the sides of the carafe if you fully flip the lid up - so don't do that

I was hoping the process would extract more favor from the coffee bean. It is better than my Cuisinart in terms of coffee bean favor, less cleaning parts and less plastic in my coffee.

I am finally getting around to a review for this coffee maker. I originally bought the thermal carafe and was highly disappointed with the quality and all of the plastic parts. I traded for this style. The coffee maker is okay. For the price and reviews I was expecting something spectacular in my cup of coffee, but it is just like the Breville that I have owned. I buy good quality beans and grind at home, but still not impressed. I kept this one, but Moccamaster will not be my next go to.

I fretted about getting this thing after reading negative reviews on here and reddit and, after having used it for three weeks, I've determined that those who don't care for this either aren't into coffee the way I am or they just don't know how to make it.I am a serious coffee drinker. I read lots of articles in food magazines and blogs about what a great product this is. I brewed a pot the first morning after it arrived and I could immediately tell the difference. The coffee is richer and has a deeper flavor with this machine.The product is compact and fits nicely on my kitchen counter. It brews ten cups in a matter of minutes. I don't care for paper coffee filters so I purchased the HEXNUB reusable metal filter. It easily holds a full load of grounds and I've not experienced an overflow after three weeks of use.The unit is simple to clean. I have zero complaints other than being annoyed with myself for waiting so long to purchase this.If you are into coffee at any level this is a good investment.

The item arrived with both switches unlatched and pushed inside the base housing. After some fiddling I was able to snap them both back into place (see photo).The quality of the machine parts, such as the lids and filter feel flimsy. Once the machine was brewing, the plastic lids bent slightly due to the heat.The glass carafe is rather thin and due to the design of the warming plate, every time I put the pot back onto the warming plate, I hit the edge of the plate, which I'm sure eventually would crack the glass.The warming plate is enameled, which makes the pot harder to take in and out of the machine. Two hard (glass) surfaces rubbing against each other.I do not find the taste of the coffee any better than my old machine. If anything it tasted weaker with the same type & amount of coffee and water.When I slide the machine on the countertop, the rubber feet come off. Not impressed.Over all, I find the machine cumbersome to use. Too many loose parts that have to be taken off just to brew coffee.The look of the machine is great but the quality lacks. I don't usually return items, but for the money I expect much more and therefore returned the item. Thank you Amazon for making returns possible!

It has made my morning routine a snap. I fill it the night before with ground coffee and water. Just press a button and the coffee comes out hot and well-balanced.
