I normally don't write reviews but just wanted to let others know I have bought alot of their machines and they have always performed well. Customer service is outstanding. I am not. Ring paid or compensated for my review . Just want to let others that might interested know.

Shipping was on time, was boxed very nice and secure. Shear itself is heavy, 990lbs. With the create it came in at 1120lbs. I personally have never owned a shear this size so it was a little challenging to assemble the few items that came with it. This is due to the instruction (if you can even call them that) are of no use as far as assembling. I was able to look at the photo on amazon to figure out where the items went. Assembly time was approximately 20mins, you need basic hand tools only. It seems to be made very well, everything moves correctly right from the start. Shear is nicely painted and oiled. Manufacturer claims it will do 16ga so I thought why not see what this thing can really do. I (200lbs) was able to shear 1/4” strips off of a 16ga mild steel sheet that was 4’ wide with next to no effort after just a small bounce of my weight. So far I’m happy with my purchase, if things change down the road I’ll update my review.

Arrived on time for a good machine for the money

I work primarily with .060" (1.6mm) aluminum. This make clean, straight cuts on 48" wide sheets. The quality of the this machine is much higher than what you get at say Harbor Freight. There is a tie rod that prevents the sides of the shear from spreading... this was damaged in shipping... looks like it was hit with fork truck. Anyway, KAKA very quickly sent me a new tie rod. I am very pleased with their customer service. This is the third KAKA product I have. The first was 16" shear that also works well, and a deep throat shrinker/stretcher that was available with dies specifically for aluminum. Again, really great product. The manual that comes with this shear is minimal. The good news is that this design was standardized certainly by the 1940's. What that means is that most brands of this type of shear use the same exact adjustment methods. You can download the Grizzly Industrial manual for their model T20727 shear to get information on adjusting the blade for this shear. Like most of these tools, the blade is reversible, so you don't need to sharpen the blade as often. But reversing the blade may require you to make an alignment adjustment. The shear comes with front and back stops. Also it has a short stop.... which is used for making angle cuts. I mounted my shear to a cradle with wheels so that I could easily move it around the shop.
