great for fish with Wens
high protein food with unique proteins, while pricey, it works very well. If you are trying to grow "wen" on a fish this gets significant growth in 2-3 weeks. I store mine in the frog sense the protein content is so high.

Pellets as dense as the muscular koi mascot!
I was disappointed that my first order got lost in transit and never made it, so I had to wait even longer amid the pandemic for a second order attempt. I do not fault the seller for this so I will not remove a star for something that is outside their control.I'm rebooting my pond with three koi I've had a couple years and 8 young koi I plan to grow out. The 8 young koi went through quarantine before I introduced them into the main pond. In the meantime, when I finally got this food I used it to help put some size and weight on the young ones and that it did in the two weeks I had this food (halfway through their quarantine). After feeding the first time I realized that this pellet is extremely dense, it falls straight to bottom—which is fine, I like that the koi can use their foraging behaviors—and it takes them a little bit longer to chew and takes way less of it to fill them up. So feed very lightly and build up more if necessary for your fish until you figure out how much you can give them per feeding. Like I said, it takes my young koi a while to chew the pellets before they go back for more, but the pellets do hold up for quite a long time. It has never once fouled my water, in fact, my parameters (ammonia/nitrite/nitrate) are a wee bit healthier than when I feed them their usual floating pellets.I liked the packaging, particularly the muscular koi mascot, it reminds me of something I would see here in the countryside of Hawaii. I liked the protein content since growing out fish requires high amounts of protein among other things. I was so eager to try this food out. It comes with a nice ziploc-type seal so you can just use the bag. However, I use the extra precaution of putting it into a gallon ziploc bag and refrigerating because of the humidity here, it tends to spoil things quickly. The price of this food is kind of high, but I think the quality puts that within reasoning. Especially because you don't have to feed much.I use this as part of a rotation with another type of floating pellet, steamed egg, repashy, and the occasional boiled sweet potato chunks. I've had the food for about a month now and it has already proven at least that my koi love the stuff and are growing quickly. From the time I got this food I'd say the young ones have put on an average 1.5", and certainly some girth around the shoulders and tail. Not bad for a simple backyard pond! Oh, and my other three koi I've had for a couple years previously have definitely beefed up in size and length as well! Something I haven't seen much of in the past couple years I've had them.All-in-all, I have absolutely zero gripes with this food and no reason to remove any stars for this rating.

Too early to tell
This was my first try with the food. It sinks well, My fish were attracted and went after the food right away. The price point was a little high for my needs. This would be a great product for raising smaller fish but just a tasty treat for large fish. Since I had a mix pond, I would feed the fish as normal, then throw in HULX and the smaller fish would go to the bottom and eat it up. Too soon to see any difference in the fish. Half a bad through. I would like to see larger bag and larger size food pellets.

Great Product/Poor Packaging
This is very very palatable to the fish. I am currently adding this to food I already feed as an extra boost. Would say pertaining to the picture I have attached. Great product poor packaging, thank goodness it was also in an Amazon packaging and I did not lose any product.

Not as advertised
This food has made no impact on the growth in my fancy goldfish and shubunkins. I feed them 2-4 times daily as much as they’ll consume without having waste.Huge plus: This food is DENSE. It sinks fast, the fish love it, and I have zero issues with swim bladder issues which is a huge struggle with fancy goldfish. For that reason, I use this food.Huge negative: This food turns water yellow extremely fast. It’s not cloudy or full of particles like other foods, it just turns dark yellow. I have to do 50-75% water changes biweekly because it’s so bad. I run a marine land double hang on filter as well as a Fx6 fluval canister filter and they make no difference with the discoloration. By four days after a 75% water change, I can’t stand looking at the tank anymore because it looks so dirty. The fish have also not grown like the ad describes. The size of the pellets are good and the fish love them, so that’s a plus. I don’t see it as a long term good due to lack of growth and the impact it has on aquarium maintenance. I’ve been feeding this for two months and I have yet to see anything amazing from this.

Perfect for my shy new koi
The media could not be loaded. Recently we added 2 koi to our pond. They are about 6 to 8 inches and are dwarfed by our other koi that range between 15 to 28 inches. The newbies hid the first week and I was worried that they would starve. I got this sinking food and fed them near their hiding place. They came out to eat the sinking pellets and now one is more comfortable swimming in the open pond amongst the big fish and eats floating food. I have to feed these sinking pellets in another place (away from the hiding place since the other new fish still isn’t coming out much) because now my big fish love this food too even though they have their floating pellets. Since koi are instinctively bottom feeders they enjoy this food a lot. I think I will continue to purchase these sinking pellets as a treat even after the new fish are eating with the others to encourage growth and enhanced color.

Very, very small food
Thought I was getting food for large koi. This stuff is the size of sand.

Do not buy. Expensive deceptive.
It’s very small and the koi’s don’t like it. Very deceptive and the price is too high.
