2. I’m not sure what they mean by “ratio of product to water” . as the name implies, there are six water molecules bound to every nickel sulfate molecule. (The water is “water of hydration”, which is chemically bound to the nickel sulfate) So you could say the ratio is 6 to 1 (6:1). On the other hand, you could express it as mass. One mole of anhydrous nickel sulfate weighs 154.75 grams, while the same number of the hexahydrate weighs 262.85 grams, so the water contributes 108.1 grams (the molecular weight of water is 18.01 grams per mole, and six times that is 108.06 grams, so it all tallies pretty well), and the ratio of the weight of the nickel sulfate to the attaches water is about 1.43:1

In rolling not quite boiling distilled water. You need it to be hot for a while because it’s slow to dissolve completely

depends on what concentration you are trying to make look on Wikipedia it will give you dissolution rates-- how many grams of material will dissolve in so much water at a given temperature

Q: Can this be used for electroplating?

According to different website it can be used in electroplating--i have never done it, I suggest you research it a little more so it meets your application
