Necoichi Daruma Charm Bow Tie Cat Collar (Red)

I got this cute collar about 2 years ago (09/2017) for my 3 month old kitten. He obviously eventually grew into it and its the first collar I ever got him. I knew that the bow would likely be glued on, not stitched, and may need a repair in the future and I was correct. Within the past two years I've superglued the bow back on once as well as the collar where it loops around the buckle. I've lost a couple of bells but that may be due to my Bean getting the bell ring stuck in the mesh of his favorite chair rather then the quality of the collar. I've found that tying the bell onto the collars metal loop with string to be most effective at keeping it attached. I have also washed the collar once when the white parts looked more grey with hand soap and water in the sink and let it sit to dry. It was good as new :)Bean is my only cat and an indoor cat as well so maybe that's why the collar has lasted this long. Anyway, the collar is just as beautiful as the day I received it and would absolutely buy another Necoichi collar if I need to.TIP: Superglue works very well as long as you allow the glue to soak into the fabric and let it completely dry. It's been a year since I repaired it and it has shown no signs of failing.

Love this collar! We have a Cavalier King Charles puppy who’s neck is about 9”. We took a chance on this collar because it’s too cute to pass up. We love it and she loves it. We wanted something that made a little noise (poor sweetie is so quiet and we accidentally step on her little paws when she sneaks up behind us). The bell is quiet and small and doesn’t seem to bother her. I love the daruma charm as well. It’s so colorful and seems well made. We have a harness for attaching her leash on walks, we won’t connect the leash to this collar. The length of the collar is perfect with plenty of room to spare.

The fabric & charm are beautiful.The quality is ABYSMAL. Our indoor cat has worn this collar for less than 24 hours and it’s coming apart already.I’m so bummed b/c this brand used to make really high quality products. The first couple of collars I bought lasted easily almost a year. And then were only replaced when they started looked ratty (due to normal wear).But, the last two collars broke within a couple months. And this one, less than 24 hours.Don’t waste your money, unless you just want it for a cute pic.

This is a great collar; it's super cute and feels well made and sturdy. The break-away clasp seems tight enough that it doesn't come apart and the slightest tug, but loose enough that it would release with the right amount of force from your cat—an important concern of mine as all three of my cats are indoor-outdoor (against my will; one learned how to open doors and it's all been downhill from there). The collars come in little cellophane packages in a puffy envelope; the colors in the photos seem true to reality. Very cute collars, and reasonably priced; and I very much enjoy hearing all my cats ringing little bells when they run across my yard or jump on my desk. A+

My lynx point and white kitty looks most handsome in this collar. The daruma charm is the perfect little touch. My cat only has one eye, so he is like an daruma that has not had its wish/goal fulfilled. He is a lean 13lbs and this collar fits him well and the quick release feature works great. It seems to be very well made and will hopefully last a long time. I love the use of Japanese fabrics and that I get to enjoy a bit of my heritage every time I look at my cats.

I paid $15.99 for a collar that my cat broke in less than 4 months. This collar is super cute but it does not last. These collars are held together by super glue. I have 3 adult cats and I bought them each one of these collars 4 months ago. One collar has completely fallen apart, one is missing the bow, and the other collar is ripping. Overall I am very disappointed in the quality of these collars because they are so cute 😩

Cute collar while it lasted. Durability was never a concern for me since all of my previous cat collars lasted for a long time only to be replaced after they’ve gotten too old and worn out. But this one actually broke and fell apart soon after I bought it. Absolute pity because the design is so cute, but cat can’t wear a cute collar if it’s in pieces.

We have purchased other Neco Ichi collars in the past and they look really good and have performed well with good life expectancy. The latest collar unfortunately fell apart at the clasp as the fabric is only glued together around it. I have fabric glue and was able to repair it but we’ll see if it holds up. Based on my previous experience with Neco Ichi I would have given it 5 stars until it fell apart.
