Works Perfectly
Ordered it because large birds like Red Wing Blackbirds and Boat Tailed Grackles dominate the other feeders and chase away the songbirds. Squirrels are not a problem because we have our feeders on shepherds hooks and we grease the poles with Vaseline (it's hilarious watching the squirrels slide down the poles). These feeders work perfectly and let the songbirds eat unmolested.

Keeps squirrels out.
It keeps the squirrels out as promised. The best thing is it keeps him blackbirds out. Brings back The small birds. Beautiful color birds because they can get in there and eat the feed. I love it! Recommend this product

Great feeder, but needs alteration to keep squirrels out
This birdfeeder is good for the money. The smaller birds are able to get into feed. Cardinals and other birds of that size or larger are not able to get into the feeder. I had to put a piece of wire around the opening of the feeder so that squirrels could not open it. If you do not put some sort of locking mechanism on the door/opening, the squirrels are able to lift and open it with no problem. I used the heavy gauge wire something that can be taken off and on easily.

Bird feeder
It’s been 4 days and it’s half empty. The birds are pretty messy. There is quite a bit of seed scattered underneath the feeder.

Only small birds allowed!
I purchased to keep the big black birds away from the small birds food. It works great!

Cute but easy for squirrels to get food.
Wires are pretty thin, so we'll see how long it lasts. It is not squirrel proof - they just hang onto the wires upside down and stick their heads in through the squares of the wire and get to the food. If the squares of wire were smaller where the wires are not over the food access holes, that would make the feeder more robust - or maybe even better, a piece of metal where there are no food access holes, so that squirrels and large birds would have less space to hang onto. It is not very large - perhaps holds 3 or 4 cups of food. But would be great if it was harder for squirrels and large birds to hold onto.

Prevents everything from accessing the bird feed!
I ordered this product in hopes that it would prevent the squirrels from getting to the bird feed for our wild birds. I would have to say it does an excellent job at preventing the squirrels from getting to the bird feed, however, the small holes for the birds to access are way too small for anything to feed on the bird feed. I have had this feeder out for almost a week, and it's the only feeder that hasn't been touched by the sparrows, finches and other ground birds. I'm thinking of making the holes larger and cutting the wire mesh in order for the birds to access the bird feed. It does it's job at preventing the squirrels but also the birds. I don't think this feeder was designed with the birds in mind. Do not recommend buying this feeder.

Works as advertised
While it's quite a bit smaller than I expected it seems to be adequate for the smaller birds as it advertised.
