Love My Whitin Shoes
I am fairly new to minimalist shoes and properly fitting for wide-toe box and splaying my toes. After reading reviews on several products, I decided on Whitin. So far I have tried their canvas and relaxation fit. For my style, relaxation fit is the best for me.I apologize for the long review, however, I did this to help others ensure they get as close to a fit as possible the first time. In normal shoes I were between an 8.5W or up to a 9.5W (Brooks Ghost 16). Between AI and the Whitin instructions on measuring for a proper size, my foot size is the following in Whitin measurements: 10.6 Length max by 4.2 width max.In their running shoes I ordered a 12W. In comparison to Brooks Ghost 16s 9.5W, they look nearly Identical. As for size, the Whitin at 12W are obviously a bit longer by 1.5-2 inches and the toe box is nearly the same. Where you see the difference is the toe splay area. Whitin is wider than the Brooks they shorten the angle across the pinky toes. This is where you start to feel the toes smash together. How did the Whitin 12W running shoes fit? It’s a bit too long for my foot, but manageable. Once these wear out, I will order 10W.For the Whitin Men's Wide Minimalist Barefoot Sneakers | Zero Drop Sole | Optimal Relaxation: I first ordered a pair in the 11W. Again, A bit too long, width was good. I ordered a second pair in a different color, but at 10W because it is withing the range of my maximum width of 4.2. These are 4.1 at 10W. The fit was perfect. Length was not too long, still some room, and the width was spot on. In this style, I found my fit.In the near future, I will be trying their food service shoes and anything with the relaxation materials and will provide my review in hopes it will help future Whitin fans. Most of us grew up on the mass-produced shoes that tailor to all. For those looking to sustain proper foot health or improve foot health, these shoes are the way to go. If you’re thinking about switching from the “normal” we all have been taught, these are a great starter. Just remember to measure your feet correctly. Old, normal shoe sizes might not work. Good luck!

Fitting guide very inaccurate!
Was apprehensive to pull the trigger on these shoes, mostly due to cost and associating that with quality. I am very pleased with them, though. The price point makes them a steal!First the good: I have VERY flat, low profile feet, kinda like skis. Plus my pinky toe has started rolling over and goinng inward. THese shoes provide a generous toe box, and even loosely laced fit my feet like a glove. It was weird walking in them at first as this is the only pair of 0 drop shoes I have worn, almost tripped walking down the hall as if my feet didn't know how to work. After a couple minutes I adapted. My feet feel more "connected" to the ground, with exceptional grip and fit. My feet are very comfortable and not tired after a full day at work on my feet. I will be buy more in the future. The bad: This doesn't take away from my fondness of the shoes, but the top of the toe box (near the laces) somewhat folds in, creating a look of shoes that dont fit well, despite them fitting perfectly. So if you are someone who prefers appearance of functionality, this might drive you crazy. Tall profile feet may eliminate this, as they would fill out the shoe more. Additionally, the fitting chart for these shoes is whack! I measured my foot heal to toe, based on their recommendation I should order a size 8. I read another review that indicated I should order my usual size. So I ordered an 11 (im an 11.5 mens), and they fit perfect!Overall, great shoe, even better value, time will tell how well they hold up to daily wear and tear. Im impressed so far and would recommend to freinds.

Wide toe box, cost effective
I have very wide feet and these are so good for them. That said, I still went up one size to get the comfort I prefer. These have very little foot support and can be fatiguing to wear over a long period of time. Walking around a department store is fine. Maybe it just requires a different strengthening of the foot since I'm not used to the way they make me walk.

Will buy again
This is an excellent shoe for the price. I have now had these for a year - I wear them daily, have (hand) washed them several times when they get dusty or muddy after trail running and they still look like new. The sole is just barely starting to show wear, I would have expected it to have worn a lot faster than it has. I have used these as slip ons as I hate to repeatedly tie my shoes and the heel has not lost its shape in the slightest. I appreciate having so much room in the toe, my feet don’t feel cramped at all and I use high arch inserts. Will be purchasing these again!

Best I've ever worn! And I've worn a lot!
Best shoes I've ever put on my feet. I'm a former competitive runner. I have a cabinet full of trophies and ran on the 1964 Tennessee state cross country team from Clarksville, Tennessee. I played tennis for Belmont University in their first position as a senior. I have walked and hiked all my life. I have a home that demands a lot of outdoor lawn work, landscaping and mowing. I work in retirement delivering travel brochures in a four state area and am jumping in and out of a van all day for my work. I have put a lot of miles on my feet. Whitten has made the last few years on my feet the most pleasant of them all. I will be 78 in June. Whitten 's are extremely comfortable, their enduring quality is amazing and I have them in different styles and colors for assorted occasions and needs. The materials and especially the glue bonds are almost unbelievable considering what I sometimes have put them through. Thank you for making quality, versatile, comfortable shoes. I rarely give 5 stars.
This was the first time I ventured into the whole minimal shoe thing. I have to say I'm a believer I will be investing again it takes a little bit getting used to so use them sparingly when you first get them but after about a week I'm all about it and they don't look bad they don't look like those weird boxy orthopedic shoes which is why I'm giving it five stars.
