This adapter saved my system restoration
This adapter solved a system-restore problem I had where I needed to restore a backup on a SATA drive to an (old but mission-critical) IDE workstation: trouble was, my SATA-IDE converter had a female IDE termination which I needed to connect to a (female, of course) IDE cable.I was happy with the adapter's build quality and even happier that it solved my issue. Definitely a keeper for the "toolbox"!

Just as described
Exactly as pictured and described. A standard, 1.5-inch long ribbon cable and two male 40-pin connectors. If the female side has pin 20 blanked, it won't work, but it worked well for me.This sort of thing is pretty archaic now in computer terms, but if you need one (as I did) to read an old drive, it's a lot easier than making one.

Works great
Used these to extend the back of the cd rom drives so I could connect an ide to the sata converter. The converter was too large to fit directly in back.
