Surprisingly Pretty - Not Trashy Looking
I just received my 9 Pack Floating Pool Lights Lotus Flower Lantern Artificial Foam LED Lifelike Pool Lights Battery Operated Pool Lantern Pond Decoration Candles Pad (White, Colorful Light, 3.94 Inch, 5.91 Inch). They are very pretty and I am picky. I bought them to float in the pool during my wedding reception. I was a little confused about how they work because there are not instructions. That's because you don't need any. These babies are ready to go--just float them in some water and voilá! They come with batteries, and when the little metal dots below the battery receptacle hit the water, they turn on.It's not clear to me yet if the batteries can be changed. And I'm not 100% certain these will work for my wedding, but I have a good feeling they might. I will update my review after I've had a chance to float them in the pool and will update then with photos.I have also ordered the ones that come in only white, which I may end up preferring for this occasion. So far, I'm pleased and excited about this purchase.

NOT HAPPY
I purchased the Hortsun 9 Pack Floating Pool Lights Lotus Flower Lantern with high hopes of adding a serene ambiance to my pool area. Unfortunately, my experience with these lights was far from satisfactory. First and foremost, the durability of these lights is seriously questionable. Within just a few uses, several of the lotus flower lanterns began to show signs of wear and tear, with the foam material easily succumbing to damage from minimal contact. This made them unsuitable for prolonged use, which was a major letdown.

So stinking perfect!
I used these in short large mouth vases that i found as decorations for my bar top. Soooo adorable. Ok funny story…. I could NOT figure out how to turn them on. The bottom actually has a place that kinda spins on it and I was twisting it like crazy. On second thought I THINK it was spinning…any way… Twenty minutes later (in my monotone spongebob narrator voice) I got frustrated and just placed them in the vase I had previously filled with water just to see how it would fit if I was to ever figure it out. AND the darn thing lit right up. It’s WATER activated! So all this to say, SOME kind of directions would have been nice. To the seller send me my royalties!!!! Soooo many women are asking where I got these and I’m using my MBA and marketing them for you.

Cute but they won't last long
I thought these would be a elegant addition to a pool for our wedding . I was right there super pretty and worked as soon as they hit the water only issue is after 2 days I noticed they were coming apart and I had floating plants all over and unfortunately with that they would also make there way threw the pump so not the best keep an eye on them but cute for like a one day event

Beauty is ruined by bad LED programming
The media could not be loaded. I bought the white lotuses with colored LEDs for use in my fish ponds. There is no timer or remote control option for these. As far as construction and design of the flower, these are made of foam and are probably one of the nicer looking floating faux lotus flowers available for the price. The materials catch the color of the LED lights well and provide a nice soft "glow" that products made of other more opaque materials tend to block.HOWEVER, this nice effect is COMPLETELY RUINED by the LED programming. I expected that they would probably slowly cycle between colors in a nice relaxing way. Unfortunately they all appear to be set in an awful DEMO mode. Each LED automatically cycles through not just a range of colors, but different flashing patterns and speeds. For a few moments a flower will be the slow relaxing color cycle I expected and then it will go into a seizure inducing strobe, or to a quick flick between colors all within a few seconds. The box came with absolutely no directions. As far as I can tell there is no way to choose what style flash you would like.I thought that perhaps I could just turn off the light and enjoy them as flowers, but there appears to be no on or off switch. Instead, the flower has two metal dimples on the bottom that cause it to light up when the electrical circuit is completed by setting them in water.I thought that I could perhaps remove the batteries but the battery seems to be designed to never be replaced and the whole battery compartment is tightly glued shut. (At least we know this product is water tight!)Then I thought that maybe I could use them as a table decoration, but the foam is kind of off kilter on some of them, and while that doesn't prevent them from floating straight, it causes them to tip oddly when set down on a hard surface. My current plan is to set them in water and let the batteries burn themselves out. I did notice that my goldfish seemed to be avoiding them. I'm not sure if this is because of the copper nubs or if they can feel the electric current while under them, or if they just don't like the flashing lights. Because of this I'm keeping them in a storage container of water out in my storage shed. I'll check on them in the spring.Oh! One unexpected bonus though. We saw Raccoons looking at my fish pond the other day on our security camera, so I threw these lotus into the pond as a temporary place for the fish to hide while I found a better solution. The next night the same pack of raccoons came back, but as soon as they saw the flashing lights they decided to move on instead of approaching the shore of the pond. So there's that at least.

Disappointing but not Surprising
So pretty in a fountain. They were illuminated the first 3 nights but after then, they went dark. Now we just enjoy them during the day. Oh well.

Great product however they float to the side if placing in a pool.
They were very pretty but unless you tie a fishing weight to the bottom they will float to the edge if putting in a pool

I love the flowers.. nice quality.. they don't look plastic.. the fact they light up once touching the water is awesome.. I just bought them to put them in my outdoor jaccuzi.. I hope they will last..
