Money Saver
I have been looking for something just like this for a few months and finally I came across it. I have a work bench oxypropane setup that I got from an estate. The catch - it is set up to use a medical style oxygen bottle and there was a few that came with it to use. I have run out though and no one will touch them because they’re “medical” so a prescription would be needed to get them filled/exchanged. Thus my search for a work around. The smallest oxygen bottle my welding store sells is over $200 plus I’d have to get a different regulator on top of that. The gas itself is cheap. I exchange my “k” bottle for $28 and now that I have this adapter my plan works perfectly. I’m using the medical bottle that is probably a foot tall and four inches in diameter and the length of the adapter was long enough for that. I was wondering if I needed to buy the kit with the hose instead of this one. The adapter has that heavy quality made feel and the gauge was accurate. Follow the instructions and you’ll be pleased. I was grinning ear to ear when it was done and I had saved money using this. As a side note, I have no idea if welding oxygen is a good substitute for medical oxygen, that is not my need. I just needed to be able to fill a medical bottle for heating and brazing.
