Taste of the 1950s
Of course, a bite of Cheezies reminds one of Canada. But I can still remember the early 1950s, when I lived in Chicago and Cheezies first appeared. My father became addicted to them in the first week after they hit the grocery stores, and I became addicted 15 minutes after my father by sharing his penchant for first-rate junk food. Cheesies are the real McCoy, still manufactured with real cheese on the same machines developed and used right after WWII. A true junk food aficionado would say they are superior in every way to "Cheetos," a pale, tasteless, Frito-Lay imitation, whose products all taste perfectly machine made and perfectly the same, whatever the product is. The Canadians loved Cheezies so much that they adopted the company and preserved the product in its identical form since the 1950s; bless the Canadians. When I cross the border from BC (Canada) to the U.S. with my back seat full of Cheezies bags, the Customs agents ask, "What are you gonna do with all those Cheezies?" And I tell them, "Eat them!" And serve them at special parties, and give them as presents to friends. What is the difference between Cheezies and Cheetos? The difference is that Cheezies taste like cheese, and they taste like the 1950s, a time when junk food was not all manufactured by huge, conglomerate, international companies, and it all didn't taste the same, when potato chips still had a few precious burned ones in each bag, and sometimes chips got clumped together into strange art forms, when genetically engineered potatoes didn't exist anywhere in the world, and the junk food world was a far more adventurous and tasty place . . .

Too salty, too hard!
Disappointed. Give me Barbara's, Trader Joe's or Cheetos any day. Extremely salty. Thought I'd try four Canadian snacks that got good reviews. For me, this bombed and Coffee Crisp also bombed. I thought it was overly sweet. My opinion.

Absolute Delicious
Its from Canada! But thats not what makes it so good. Hawkins has been serving it up for over 80 years. This is the creme de la creme of cheese snacks.

Not For Me
A friend told me about these Cheezies. I love our cheese twists and cheese it’s. I was assured these Cheezies had more cheese flavor, more striking . Wrong, from my viewpoint, these Cheezies were stale, not much taste and certainly missing the striking cheese taste. P,us, they were hard. I might try these again in Canada,bwherev5hey might be fresher. But, right now, no.Not Recommended For Me. prisrob 04-18-2020

Great cheesy snack
This Cheesie snack can not be purchased in a U.S. store. It’s a Canadian product! Love that it can be purchased on Amazon and receive it in the U.S.A. Best snack ever!!!
