Actually SMALLER pellets. Just what I wanted. Just what my fish needed. 5 stars!!!
I am very pleased with this fish food.I have kept Betta fish for many years and some really are picker eaters than others. The most recent Betta I have bought is the smallest I have ever kept and he is a rather picky eater. For those two reasons I needed to buy some “different” food. I did buy a couple of products that were advertised as “small pellet” but those were no smaller than the “regular” food I always buy. This Hikari “baby pellets” was exactly what I wanted and what my fish needed. He eats it without hesitation and seems to be thriving, after a few months. So, I am very pleased.Others have commented about liking the package. I do not; but not enough to ding the review. I just emptied (only the one – I received three packages with my order, as shown) into another container and will do the same as the remaining two are needed.I am a novice (i.e., pet) fish owner but I would recommend this product and would not hesitate to buy again from the same seller/distributor.

My betta loves them~
The only store-bought food my betta actually eats. I've tried tons of others but he spits them out and abandons them or just turns his nose at them (he DESPISES bloodworms). Between these pellets and my favorite baby pink ramshorn snails that he seems to confuse with these pellets, he seems to be a happy boy. Though I'm not the biggest fan of the packaging and lack of dietary instruction, I keep them in a small container and give him less than 5 per day. If he's still hungry, again, he eats my pretty snails :')

Betta’s will love these pellets.
My Bettas LOVE THESE! Just don’t feed too much. All dry food has the ability to constipate your small friends and cause them to bloat. Only feed MAXIMUM the amount of pellets as the size of their eye PER DAY! You can feed them 2-4 pellets a few times a day but really try to resist their begging and make sure they have plenty of stimulation and room to exercise! Minimum tank size is 2.5 gallons for a Betta but IDEALLY 5 gallons. Love these pellets though, they make my fish’s color very vibrant and almost iridescent! Just please don’t feed too much!

Betta approved!
My bettas love these! They must be like crack because they go crazy when it's time to eat. They turn their nose up to other food, but this is a winner.

Beta will only eat
Our beta will only eat this food. Nice being able to buy in a 3 pack and cheaper than the pet store.

Great for baby fish
This was our food of choice for our baby beta when the regular pellets were way too big for him. He loved these and we stuck with them even when he got bigger. The packaging is annoying. Every time the kids fed the fish they’d drop the packet on the counter and pellets would roll out. We eventually started putting them in an old salt shaker which was the perfect fix.

great food, terrible packaging
it's hard to find good pet food. This is good pet food. It doesn't have food coloring, it's healthy, my Betta loves it. My first pet food was some bright colorful fake stuff that looked like plastic, the Betta barely ate it. This food is normal color, it does float, the individual grains seem slightly heavier and less "plastic."However- my only complaint is that the packaging is difficult to use. You are supposed to snip off the end and turn it this way and that until the right amount comes out. It's annoying, easy to spill, easy to put too much in there, and so on.My solution was to dump out all the old food from my previous "fake" food that had a great package, and reuse it with this food. Now if Hikari would make an actual useable feeder, that would be great.
