Beautiful :)
This book is so beautiful. It affected me so much. It changed me, and my perspective of life. This book is about the emotional and psychological side of eeman/iman. It doesn't just talk about facts and what you should or shouldn't do, no... it talks about the heart. And Yasmin Mogahed tells complicated things in such a simple way. It cleares up your mind. I felt a little lost sometimes, my head was so full, my heart filled with unrest.. there were times I didn't know WHAT to think. But now.. every time I feel scared or sad or lonely, I take this book and read.Yasmin writes in such a smart way. And the topics she talks about are so relevant to modern life. She talks about men and women status nowadays, the ummah, facebook, personal things she went through and the lessons she learnt from them. But it all comes to one thing, this is all Dunya. Everyting in it is a TEST. And it all will eventually pass.Another thing I love about this book: it speaks about different topics, so simply. It tells the most essential things... no uninteresting details. Nothing you want to skip so you can read further. It reads so easily, and yet the subjects are so deep. And I love the fact that it's chapters are short. You don't have to read it all at once... I only read a couple of pages and I need time to think and reflect over them :)It's definitely a book you can read over and over again. I recommand this book to everyone who wants to renew their faith, who wants to look at their life in a different way.My love for Allah has grown so much. May Allah bless her and help her to inspire even more people insaAllah.Selamun aleykum

A deeply insightful read that is from the heart and reaches the heart
This book is written from the heart and so when I read it, it really resonates with my own heart and mind. It is touching, thoughtful, deep and insightful. Yasmin manages to convey her own vulnerabilities whilst projecting an inner strength that is rooted in Islam. When I read this book I feel like I am reading my own thoughts or reading about my own experiences and feelings. I understand the journeys that her mind has travelled in instances as somewhere along the line my mind has made similar journeys. Yet there is also so much to learn from this book, so much inspiration to be drawn, so much to ponder. I am sure I will be updating this review once I complete reading this book. But for now, I will say this - read this book. Whether you are Muslim or not, I think everyone can draw inspiration from this book, and for many it may be a way to understand Islam better. A truly beautiful book. Looking forward to reading more. Be back to update it once I've completed reading. I've ordered my paperback version, but couldn't wait so I downloaded the kindle version! Enjoy :)

*Firstly i want to say i dont ever write reviews about anyting i am not 100% passionate about*No matter what faith background you have or if you do not attach yourself to any faith this book is so relevent to anyone who has/is experiencing pain, disappointment, unfullfillment or feeling a spiritual void. it is the most reflective and unpretenious book I have ever read, so thought provoking! you literally have to stop after reading a few paragraphs in order to take in the greatness of what shes conveying. i cant say enough amazing things about it, just that you'll never be disappointed if you buy it! I took it on holiday with me, read it on the most beautiful beach, it just took me to a different world! you can find more of her work on youtube and blog, shes definitely got somonething special! and for all those people who have a stereotyped idea of Muslim woman, shes just blown that one out the water! Enjoy!

No ordinary book
It was amazing, Yasmin Mogahed opened up the locked door in my heart that had no key.Every word in this book amazed me yet made sense to me.The best part of the book for me was when she talked about equality between men and woman as seen in the modern world. Most Feminists make men their standard and say they want equality, how can this be equality when you want to be like a man and you are a women? It's like you are saying women are by nature wrong, only men are right so we have to be try to be like them. Yasmin reminds us that in Islam women are have their own rights, God did not make men the standard, God made women and men different and there is nothing wrong with being a women. However I wished the book would a bit longer.I would recommend this book to anyone.

An amazing read
I found that 'Reclaim Your Heart' really captured the essences and struggles associated with the heart, insightful and promoted a remedy to tackle and cure the symptoms that people ignore, the anguish of the soul.We are so receptive to the our inner voice, some would argue that this voice is ones consciencesness, others of a theological belief would assign a Divine reality. Whatever the causation, this feeling within us Is always battling to understand it's purpose, to break the shackles of deception that very often hinder ourselves for seeking our true purpose. This book for me, has truly help convey that message.

Breathtaking book
Yasmin Mogahed is an amazing writer. This is the first book I have read by her and I can honestly say that she truly writes from the heart. Her words are relevant to everyone regardless of their situation. Every word she says is true and her style of writing could not be any better. I actually had an epiphany whilst reading this book. It made me realise many things as an individual and as a Muslim. Reclaim Your Heart is a profoundly deep and inspirational book. Highly recommended.
