Drano Max Build Up Remover Drain Clog Remover and Cleaner, Great for Clog Prevention, Commercial Line, 60 oz

Just want to start this off and say this product is not for fully clogged drains. This product is to help keep your drains clog free and reduce buildup in them as a preventative maintenance. It does work well given you don’t have a fully clogged drain. Read the instructions. Very easy to use and you don’t have to let it set for hours on end. Does have a slight smell but nothing too unpleasant. I’m using a small amount every 2-3 weeks just to help keep my drain clear. Works for me well so far.

I see a lot of reviews complaining that this doesn't remove clogs. It's not supposed to! This is for removing that slimy gunk that builds up inside drains and makes them run slowly. It won't help if the drain is completely clogged.I keep getting this gross, slimy black ick that builds up in my bathroom sink. It's probably a combination of soap, toothpaste, skin oils, dirt, hair from shaving, bacteria and food particles from brushing my teeth, and God knows what else. Everything you rinse down the bathroom sink. Over time, the drain gets really slow, which probably makes the gunk build up faster. I let this stuff soak overnight, and the next morning, the drain was running a lot faster.

Used it as directed on my clogged bathtub drain, did not work. So, the next day I went against the directions and used the whole bottle, then it worked. If you are worried about damaging your pipes I guess this works, just be prepared to use a lot more than it says. Otherwise I would recommend Drano max gel, or getting a snake.

Had a slow drain and followed instructions leaving it to do its thing while I was at work. True, it does not smell strong or anything like that but it for sure BARELY works. Better off snaking a drain or using something more powerful and dealing with the smell.

This is the only drain cleaner I will buy. I think it works great! It is also made to use in the toilet which is a plus. Highly recommend!

If you're worried about damaging your pipes, Drano Max Build-Up Remover might offer some peace of mind—but at a cost, both in terms of money and time. I followed all the instructions to the letter, including waiting the full 6 hours before running water again. Unfortunately, the results were underwhelming.This product seems to require far more than the recommended amount to make any real difference, which makes it an expensive option if you're dealing with significant buildup or clogs. Even after using a full bottle, I still had to deal with backup issues. For tough clogs, I’d recommend going with Drano Max Gel or investing in a drain snake instead.Bottom line: This might work for minor maintenance, but it’s not the best choice for serious clogs, especially considering its price and the amount you’d need to use.

A little bit over time is better than a lot at once with this product. Just follow the directions on the bottle and it will speed up the slow drain. It isn't good for clogged drains, for that, people ought to use a drain snake. I really like this product because it speeds up my drains, and because it is not as corrosive as other products. I do not know how good it is for the environment, but it uses enzymes to break down and clean the drain. It made my very slow bathroom sink into a very fast drain.

This works well for loosening buildups in the drain resulting from mold and other minor buildups, but if you already have a clog, this will not flush it out and you will need an actual clog remover. This is more like treating the drain after the clog is removed and preventing the buildup from coming back too soon and creating a problem. Works as intended, but not a clog remover, more like a prevention method.
