Does get quite warm when transferring data and watching movies but still no issues. I am glad i was able to get this item for this price and works with no issues highly recommend if ur replacing the m.2 nvme ssd and can use this to use the old ssd nvme as a portable. Amazing innovative gadget love it.

Promised speeds will never be delivered. Ran my crucial P5 NVME on this and the copy speed was 40 mbps. Also, it heats real bad.Pay the extra and get some other enclosure. Absolute scam of a product.

Needed a way to transfer files from my pc to a 4TB SSD, most enclosures only up to 2TB. This was easy to install my ssd into, and connected with my pc without any issue. Lightning fast and accurate transfer of data. Great value

I recently purchased this external enclosure to manage data transfers between my MacBook Pro (USB 3) and HP EliteBook (USB C 3.2), and overall, it has delivered on its promises. However, it's essential to note that the speed transfer performance can be considered mediocre, particularly given the context of the high-speed capabilities of the Samsung M.2 SSD I used within the enclosure. The SSD, which is supposed to deliver 3.3GB/s in writing, did not achieve its potential.During my tests, I found that when connected to USB 3.2, the enclosure sustained an average speed of around 18MB/s for a substantial 60TB of data transfer. The speed dropped to approximately 10MB/s when connected to the USB 3 port on my MacBook for a 90GB transfer, which, considering the capabilities of the SSD, falls short of expectations.Despite the mediocre speed performance and the fact that the unit tends to get quite hot during operation, I did encounter a timeout issue on my MacBook at one point (not sure the reason). Nevertheless, the enclosure effectively handled the data transfer tasks I threw at it. Given the reasonable price I paid for this unit, I consider it a good buy, especially if you prioritize affordability over top-tier speed performance. If you're in need of a cost-effective external enclosure for moderate data transfer needs, this product is worth considering.
