LOVE this book, must have for fans of Ishida-san's work
This book is amazing, I love it so much! The illustrations for each of the Tokyo Ghoul volumes are printed edge to edge, with a brief comment from Ishida Sui for each. In addition, there are illustrations pulled from promotional items, Ishida's Twitter, rejected concepts, and process sketches, along with commentary, that really add to your experience of the Tokyo Ghoul world.I read most of Tokyo Ghoul on the SJ app, so I didn't get a chance to enjoy each beautiful cover until I got my hands on this book. Ishida's art style is so rich that you do need a stand-alone art book to enjoy all the details of his work. Even though his notes are fairly brief, they do give a sense of the process behind his art, with references to editor input, computer crashes, and initial concepts that differ from the final art. This book is a must-have if you enjoy this series or Ishida's artwork. The price also is very reasonable for the amount of enjoyment you get out of it.Finally, a geeky/design comment: The spread with Naki on the orange background... That orange ink is very saturated and bright. I don't have a loupe, but no matter how hard I look, I don't see any tone textures. It's SOLID and beautiful. So I keep flip-flopping on whether the orange is a 5th ink or if it's multiple hits of magenta + yellow. Either way, the take-away is that the printing is GOOOOOD and it's another reason why you should own this book!

Very interesting to see Sui Ishida's insights
Reading through the small notes here and there and how he chose certain designs for some characters is very interesting. It's also a little sad to see how stressed the author was during this series, there are a lot of notes saying that he didn't have a lot of time to get some of the sketches/spreads done because he was under so much pressure/so many deadlines/had so much to do. Still a lot of beautiful art though, and looking forward to the :re Zakki.

An Artbook that is definitely a MUST HAVE!
Sui Ishida has got to be one of the most influential digital mangakas for the modern manga industry. His color spreads are so gorgeous to look at, it's art that you don't typically see in manga, Tokyo Ghoul: Re evolves it into something just as good or if not, better. I use this artbook as a reference for my drawing and I also read Ishida’s comments to get little background checks for each illustration in the book.

Amazing compilation of Tokyo Ghoul art
It's a must have for Tokyo Ghoul fans. Features Sui Ishida's art for the volume covers and other promotional materials. Some of the most iconic images are in it. Best thing is, every image has info about how Ishida came up with the drawings and the process. Just a lovely book.
